Hmmm, I think they can...I had childhood friends who were boys, haven't seen
them much since they moved away, though. My parents were best friends before
they got married( or so they tell me^__~ ), and my sis' best friend is a guy,
we've known him since, hmm, when I was 6 or 7. So, yup...as for me, I haven't
really found a guy who'd make a great friend right now...lols, I find most boys
in my class rather silly, irritating or downright lazy. Or maybe it's just me
lols...^o^

I'm sure it is possible. My best friend is a girl and we have lots of fun
together. We can talk about anything and everything. Ever since we met about 6
years back we got along famously. Although at the end of the first year we
weren't sure about our feelings and we got together. We had a relationship for
about 6 months when we decided that we were meant to be friends and we have been
ever since. I can honestly say that our relationship has brought us closer
together, but I also know a lot of examples when the friendship is ruined after
a relationship.
You should be weary of jealous partners though if your best friend is of the
opposite sex, cause they can be real partypoopers, both literally as
figuratively. In my csae it is mostly literally cause we both LOVE to PARTY! :P
Definitly. You can be best friends with your male friend. It's possible that you
might have feelings for him in the future, but you can't help how you feel. I
think it's great that your best friend is a guy ^_^

Well, there's nothing wrong with having male bestfriend... coz I had one too!
It's been for 15 years now. I first know him because he's my bestfriend (female)
boyfriend! When we first met, we get along right away. Maybe it's because of our
playful nature (while my female bestfriend is kinda... serious person). Of
course my bestfriend got jealous, but there's no way I can betray my own friend.
Besides, I'm not into younger men (he's a year younger than us!). Now, they've
broke up (after 10 years! And I'm NOT the reason okay! The had internal
*cough*parents*cough* problem), but me and the guy still friends, and so does
the female ones!
guys are soo cool...im straight.. and a girl. I have tons of guy friends and
people can make fun of us.. but they're really cool and great for asking
questions bout guys for.
