I haven't been on Minitokyo in a while, and so I thought I'd check to see what
new work is up as well as check on my stuff. To my surprise, I found everything
in my gallery gone. I have a couple of guesses as to why. A: for my scans,
wallpapers, and such, there are better versions out there by somebody else; B:
My pencil drawings were too simple and deemed incomplete. Those I can
understand, but what I don't understand are why 4 pieces, 'Brett', 'Yoshio',
'Kyoto', and 'Guardian's Destiny group' are gone. The message was that the piece
was either incomplete, traced, or a copy of another person's work...That is not
possible. Those pieces I drew came from my head and are of my original design.
In a way, not to sound like a jerk or anything, but I'm insulted. Now, I know
that it was an auto bot message and all, but what was wrong with those pieces?
They were complete (drawn, colored, everything).
I have noticed that in the past couple of years, Minitokyo has been more strict
with what can be submitted. I'm trying to understand why, and I think it's
because, since the site is so big, and so much art is coming through, more has
to be looked over to what can stay, and that's understandable considering the
vast varieties that come through here. But, what exactly is your idea of
complete? Yoshio and Kyoto's background I found online and that might not be
alright with you guys, but Brett's background image was already in my computer
to begin with, and Guardian's Destiny group's background was w/ photoshop. It
hurts me right here (points to chest) that those pieces were, in my book,
unjustly deleted. I'm still having trouble grasping what was wrong. There was no
nude, nothing was copied, and it was complete top to bottom.
In any case, I don't plan to put anymore of my original artwork on here anymore
due to the risk of it being deleted. It may not seem like a big deal or loss to
you guys due to a lot of other people posting their things on here, but it
should, as these things should be more thoroughly checked. It may have been a
mistake, bu who knows. I'll still come from time to time to see other people's
talents, just my work won't be here.
Also, by the deletions it said unicorn 2006. Don't know if that was the
moderator in charge of my deletions or what.
Unfortunately it's been a while since those were deleted, so we can't access the
file anymore.
With your original art, we're not saying your art is traced or copied or
incomplete, it's just that when we delete things, there's a list of possible
reasons we choose from (so we don't have to type it up every time), some of the
reasons don't always apply. Usually the moderator would leave an additional
note. What does the botchii message say? Is there an "addition note from
the moderator"?
In your case, I think it might be because the size is too small. The minimum
size is 600000 px (multiply the width by the height): Doujinshi
Minimum Resolution Requirement
That means your doujinshi needs improvement. The Sandbox is one way to go about
it.
If I remember correctly, you used altered/existing photos and images slapped
onto backgrounds, and had frightening drawings of characters with out of
proportion weapon-sized toes and hands and feet. I personally found them to be
rather disturbing.
The drawings may be original in style, but need improvement nonetheless. Hence
the Sandbox message.

It can't be that the file size was too small, as the images were higher than the 600000 px requirement.
