Why do u like Naruto?

In-depth Discussions

Minitokyo » Anime & Manga Fora » In-depth Discussions  Why do u like Naruto?

I know lots of people like Naruto but what got u the idea liking the show so much???

the thrill of having ninja perform their jutsu and the unexpected hidden powers they have.
Of course oso the anticipation of the nine tail fox appearance : D

I like ramen.... no j/k... well actually I like ramen but I watch + read it because of the characters... They are so different and just plain awesome >>>abilities/powers add as a bonus ^^

Everything about Naruto is awesome, there's no way not to love it. But I'd have to agree with driftsque, the jutus and the abilities make the whole thing a lot more lively. Plus it has a nice storyline. Besides, the fighting scenes are awesome and cleverly done.

oh yeah. what makes it different to other anime that interest anime fanatics??

I think...it just has some kind of cool ninja element that makes it an addictive anime! Man, I love the whole ninja thing and all the different jutsus they use. It all just comes together to make one kick-butt anime/manga!!!

It's pretty funny and sometimes the suspense of battle is nice. It's not just because everyone else likes it. There are several popular animes that I don't care for... Dragon ball, NGE and Lain to name a few

Dude, he's a ninja

The anime is funny and the battles are nice to watch

good storyline and a lot of different main characters......not to mention the cool fight scenes

I liked it because of one thing...
The Kyuubi

The storyline is great. it will keep you wanting for more. Funny, cool, nice jutsus and fight scenes, nice songs, etc. An entirely awesome series. Plus, i like the way that the main character here isnt perfect. Sometimes he wins and sometimes he loses. Not like in other anime wherein the protagonist always wins, even if he/she is the loser of all losers.

i like naruto because of the storyline, the jutsus and the characters... it is a humourous but at the same time serious anime filled with action...

If a show is good and we love it, what reason is there to ask why?

if there is no reason, then how are u going to like something?? hmmmmm.....
anywho this are threads and we like to share and read other peoples opinions, this is why THREADS EXIST..................

Why we like a show? Because it's good and we just love it. What reason is there to ask any more?

why? Manga is one of the greatest ever, character development is wonderful, fight scenes are awesome, music is awesome(HARUKA kanata), and of course, They are Ninjas!

And now, a public service announcement from Anti-Rabid Anime Fans...

Honestly, I don't see what's so great about Naruto. I've seen a few episodes and I wasn't terribly impressed. There really wasn't anything I saw that distinguished it from any other "normal" series I've seen, besides its length. As we all know, length isn't indicative of a serie's quality or popularity.

A few examples:
Kenshin - Most would consider the episodes after the 62ish mark were considered terribly
Inuyasha - This series hit 167 episodes and four movies. It was popular. People liked it. It made good money. What happened to it? It got canceled.
Ranma 1/2 - The fatal failure of Rumiko Takahashi; the anime outran the manga and caused a complete season of filler to be produced. Ratings dropped through the floor and the show was canceled
Tenchi - Later iterations of Tenchi were far less successful, they rode on the popularity of the Tenchi franchise and coasted along. TenchiGXP was absolutely horrid.
DBZ - I'm not even going to go there...

I know a few people who will stand by their Naruto, for better or for worse, richer or for poorer till death do they part. Even if the series dies, they will continue watching reruns. While I won't argue that the story may have held some magic in the beginning, having it run so long makes it drag and get boring after awhile, doesn't it? Inuyasha suffered that fate. Now most of the earlier pre-American release fans have moved on to other things, ushering in a new era of 15 year olds to swoon over and smother the creators with a whole new source of revenue.

The thing that upsets me about these people is that they have a very narrow vision of anime. It saddens me to think that these people believe that <insert name of series here> is the best thing ever created. This just doesn't apply to Narutards, but to rabid fans of anything.

C'mon people, there are a lot of other things to watch out there. Don't just limit yourself to one or two, take in a sampler. Broaden your horizons. If you're a fanboy/girl, at least be an equal opportunity fanboy/girl. Go check out lesser known things, introduce them to friends. Take a giant step back from the rabid fandom. Take a good look at what you're watching. If you have nothing to compare it to, then there might be a problem. Put it side by side with everything else you've seen. Then ask yourself: Is this really that great?

Good comparisons may include any Miyazaki film, classic films like Ghost in the Shell, Akira, or classic series like (the first 60 episodes of) Kenshin, Last Exile, Evangelion, and Iria. Another option is to make your brain hurt by watching Serial Experiments Lain or Perfect Blue. Break your WTF meter by watching Excel Saga or Puni Puni Poemy.

Haven't heard of those? It might be time to get out and do some exploring. Please, please, please, make the rabidness stop!

We now return you to your regularly scheduled program.

your annoying....and your also in the wrong forum as well...

lol sometimes i wonder why i like it soo much.. but i am surprised that it is extremely popular. the storyline of the "avenger" and "underdog". the general idea is no different than others. i really hate how flashbacks are overdone. but i guess it helps people with short term memory.

i like the battles. each character has their own strengths and weaknesses. i think the whole jutsu and abilities is well thought out. and it has some funny stuff too. anyways, naruto was the first subbed anime that i have seen, and after that. i've started collecting more anime i couldn't obtain from just plain television...

oh yes. i have to agree with Kryuzei, the kyuubi rocks. gotta love that cute ferocious thing.

The show is funny and some of the fights are really good (Gaara vs. Lee). Interesting characters, pretty nice story line. I don't watch it anymore though. Too many episodes for me. I like short but good anime series.

the anime starts out really lame, but it gets really rock solidly good all of a sudden after the Sasuke vs Orochimaru during the chuuin exam. I admit the whole Zabusa arc is kinda lame

I dont think we fall in love with Naruto because of its length, we fall for it because of the story lines and the character development (the best in my opinion)

Quote by kawaiiguyWhile I won't argue that the story may have held some magic in the beginning, having it run so long makes it drag and get boring after awhile, doesn't it? Inuyasha suffered that fate.

Inuyasha suffered the fate because it catches up to manga, and producers decide to put the series on hold. By doing so, it lost all popularity. and While I do agree fillers tend to kill the show, look at Kenshin for a good example, having fillers are betteer than having the show on hold, we all know what would happen once Naruto got put on hold, the show will lose all popularity and wont resume anymore. You will end up in the same situation as Inuyasha, Manga is still running and popular and TV series stopped.

I am one of the Narutard or bleachard myself, but I wont say it is the greatest thing ever, but i do say that it is the best anime in the last 5 years.

asian freak, this is a discussion forum, if everyone holds the same opinion, then what good would it do? it would be nice if we have a group of people with one opinion and the others hold another so that we can start an interesting discussion. also kawaiiguy is some kind of a boss to me, so i dont want to get fired. XD

well said Kawaaiguy, Hiddensnakehands ^^
i'm confused.... Why there are people who hate naruto out there?
why must they hate this anime ?
if its just don't like its okay... but if they hate it...
I wonder what is the reason??

well, i wont necessarily say that they hate them, it is just that i think it bothers some conservative classic anime fans that almost a slew of the younger generations are all drawn to the same anime and craze over it. that is the same situation as to technology vs Manual labor, my grandparents dont know how to use a computer and they hate it.
