Most individuals exposure to anime, at first, came from those fluffy, wholesome, and lovey dovey types {...well, at least I think so}.

Ones where boy meets girl, girl hates boy and vice versa. Where after a couple of episodes the boy or girl suddenly finds something attractive or interesting with the other character which sends the plot to the inevitable end of happily ever after. Ones that seems to have only one leading lady, who despite the fact that she's typically stupid, dense and less prettier than the other characters, have a bunch of gorgeous hunks after her.

Such is the stereotype scenarios in the anime world. For a while they made those boring days pass quickly and made us revert back to those giggling days just because they happen to kiss{chastely} on screen.

Then " Once upon a vcd..." BAM! you see two cute gorgeous guys making out like or two chicks w/ huge chests going at it. My first reaction was WOAHHHHHHHHH! is this for real? they really made something like this and was actually allowed to be aired?

Gravitation was the very first out of the norm anime I've watched. Pretty tame compared to what I've been watching now a days ***whistles innocently***

Until now I've been hunting yaoi titles like a mad dog...

My sole interest lies in yaoi. Even though at times.... well ok, all the time, my bestfriend tells me to get my head checked since she says it isn't normal. Che, as long as I can stay with those bishounens I'll be more than happy.

Admit it. We just can't help it. I can't explain it. There's just something about gorgeous guys making out that draws my attention like a moth to a lame....like a dog to a bone..

Personally I think yaoi has more popularity due to those irresistible hunks. **wipes drool***

if you're(not homo) a girl you would say yaoi then if you're a boy then you'd say yuri. im a guy so i would say yuri, coz its like looking at 2 piece of marshmallow placing it together, then moving it with your thumb & index finger. hmm... what if you're opening a big pack of colorful marshmallow & move it tightly, then cornvert it to yuri by thinking about all your favorite female anime characters that joins in the event?

I agree with YoungPhenix, Shizuru and Natsuki are a fav yuri couple in my book too.
As for all those who say girls like yaoi and boys like yuri, it's pretty much common sense.
But anyway here's another couple that should've hooked up, Nagisa and Tamao.

It all depends on the characters. I would prefer yaoi than yuri. I can't stand Ritsuka and Soubi in Loveless, though. (Nothing against the pair, more like just Soubi. Sorry to any Soubi fans.)

Well for me...I like yaoi.At first I didn't think that I would like this kind of story but then I was hooked.I guess it has something to do with the fact that all the guys are extremely hot and gorgeous... did I mentioned hot?!

When i was watching the show Natsuki was my favourite all the way (and still is) then when the yuri scenes came i was O_O No wai! =3 Though i'm not particularly fond of Shizuru and a bit sick of all the ShizNat stuff going round

Main reason i bought Kannazuki no miko was because of the yuri, though i havent watched it all yet >.>;
