Both were deleted by botchii. Is he really a member? His page just comes up as a
"302 found" with "Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was
encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the
request."
I know that already multiple people have added the Back of Mizu ni sumuhana 1 to
their fave list, it even already received a nice comment. It'd be a shame to
delete it.
If they were correctly deleted, can you please tell me why, so I can try to not
do whatever in the future.
Regarding BotChii, I don't know how many times members have questioned this, but
"it" is not a member, but a bot that sends automated messages to
members. When a moderator finds something that needs to be deleted, and deletes
it, BotChii sends the message to you to notify you that if has been
deleted.
If you read the PMs from BotChii carefully, there will be a reason why your
scans have been deleted. Usually the mod who deleted them will leave a message
as well (at the bottom of the PM, there should be something like "message
from the moderator") which is the exact reason why the scans were
deleted.
If you still can't figure out why your scans were deleted after that, then quote
the two PMs that BotChii has sent you on this thread, so we can tell you what
was exactly wrong.
PS - with regards to deletion of scans and any kind of submissions we have here,
the number of favs and comments do not matter. If we find that it is unsuitable,
or that we have a better scan etc. then we have the full right to remove it from
the gallery.
PPS - I have just looked at your first scan in full and I think the reason for
it's deletion was the quality. The quality of the scan is quite bad so that if
anyone wanted to make a wallpaper using it, they would have heck of a lot of
trouble cleaning it. You have to bear in mind that the main purpose of the scans
section is for people to make wallpapers and other types of artwork using them.
Thanks for the reply. There wasn't any specific reason given for the deletions.
Just the standard it may not be the right size, quality, etc. Which is great for
information, but gives no clue whatsoever as to the actual reason things are
deleted. Unfortunately, I've already deleted the pm's.
ps. I wasn't suggesting that you didn't have the right to remove whatever you
want from any gallery you choose. I was suggesting that, although some person
found the image unacceptable (apparently for the quality), other members
certainly found it perfectly acceptable and a desirable image to have access to.
Those scans were fairly small, surrounded by a white border. If you cut out the
white border they did not meet the minimum size requirement.
Number of favorites does not mean members found it acceptable or desirable, some
members favor images that haven't even uploaded properly and come up as a black
box.
Interesting. So the images were rejected due to both quality & size
requirement? I'm just trying to get clarification here to make any future
submissions less likely to be rejected. So it would be better to cut off part of
the image than to have a border? And it would be better to have a large image
with less ppi than a smaller image with a higher ppi? Please advise.
The thought that a member would favor an image that looks like a black box is
illogical. Perhaps it simply comes up on a different os/browser than on another.
Although, assuming you are correct, if we disregard the favorites tagging as
irrelevant when trying to judge how an image is liked, I would think that
whether or not an image was actually downloaded would be a good gauge. Or do
people download black boxes, too? I am a mere intelligent member instead of a
moderator, so some things may have to be explained.
I've obviously already accepted that the images I uploaded will be deleted. I'm
just trying to get a better handle on the criteria for the future.
If you submit something that has 5 small pictures on it then it will be deleted.
If it has 5 different images, 4 of which are undersized & 1 is over the
minimum 1,000,000 pixel requirement then it will stay in the gallery.
And what marissa was saying about the 'balck boxes' is that people will still
add a Corrupted Upload to their favourites. Where there is nothing but black
space. You see the amount of favourites has nothing to do with whether an item
is against the rules. People add stolen wallpapers, pixelated scans, and extreme
hentai to their favourites, but it does not excuse the fact that they are
against the rules & need to be deleted,
Also, would it be better to have a large image with less ppi than a smaller
image with a higher ppi? And is it better to cut off part of the image than to
have a border?
The important thing to remember is that a scan must have at least one figure
that meets the 1,000,000 pixel requirement. After that, it's not really that
important what else is in the image. That's how people can "cheat" and
get small images into the gallery, by pairing them with an acceptable image. As
for your questions, they're a matter of personal opinion. You can do whichever
you prefer, as long as the scan itself is acceptable quality.
Greetings! Can someone check to see what's wrong with the following 2 scans which were deleted?
Back of Mizu ni sumuhana 1
Back of Mizu ni sumuhana 1 by inutai

OK, thanks for explaining.
So I recently uploaded a couple of images. Will they be deleted?
This one (Although cool & kind of artistic) has no main figure that is large:
Peach Girl 18 back by inutai
And this one has a lot of background, but it's part of the picture:
Peach girl 15 back by inutai
Also, would it be better to have a large image with less ppi than a smaller image with a higher ppi? And is it better to cut off part of the image than to have a border?
Thanks for explaining.
