When playing a game for the first time, what difficulty do you usually
set?
For me, I typically have the settings on medium, or "normal" mode. I
usually do this because I hate to have the first runthrough be boring, or
irritating if it's too hard.
For racing and RTS games, I sometimes let things slide and play on an
"easy" mode, just because I like to get a feel of these games better
(and gradually increase the difficulty once I get the hang of things).
Usually "Easy" or "Normal", unless or until I'm already
familiar enough with the system/rules. In that case, I usually jump directly to
"Hard", 'cause of the challenge.
Easy. Because if I try to start playing at the highest level, after finishing
the game, the rest of the difficulty setting would be rendered useless. Hell,
you finished the hardest, it would be too easy for you now that you know what's
on the game. Doing it on easy will automatically make you bored in the long
run.
Normal. I never play on easy unless it has some kind of alternate ending or
something of the sort. Then I eventually play on hard or nightmare later on for
the games that have it. I want to play on (for the PS2) Fatal Frame's hard mode
so badly, but I can't even unlock it It's
too hard for me at the moment. That's kind of funny... It's too hard for me to
unlock hard mode
At first I pretty much always play on ''normal'', but when I'm done with it, I
wanna play it as hard as the game can be. I love it so much when I play Tales of
the Abyss, and switch to unknown mode right before a boss and see that I can
manage a way to eat it anyway when my caracters do 1 of damage
I almost always go with normal. I like to have time to adapt to the controls
without a bunch of insane CPs ripping me apart, but I'm not some
wimpy-widdle-noob that needs his mommy to hold his hand, either! Just
kidding! On games that let you switch it during the game, I usually bump the
difficulty up untill it's challenging again after I get into the game.
always normal no matter what game, if its a game i like i replay it on hard
=0
like say devil may cry 3.... play it on hard ( ... oh ya theres only hard and
easy ) so ya i play it on that... beat it.. then play it on very hard ... then
beat it.. then play it on dante must die.. etc
never once have i tried an "easy" difficulty in a game. more likely
then not, i either do my first playthrough on normal, but if that as well
happens to be a breeze, then i suppose that i go with hard difficulty and
beyond.
I'm evil I play on easy mode and heck sometimes I can't even beat that
hehe...but if I would sneak away from mature rated games sometimes then maybe,
just maybe I might not have so much trouble ^_^
Hello everybody, mi first choise is "NORMAL" mode...
After get some skills in the tittle i always change level, that makes me enjoy
more the game. With that calm i can see better the history or grafics details of
the game...

I go Expert first because IMO, I experience all the challenges enough to work just as hard as the challenges are to beat the game.
prolly just the setting that it starts on with is prolly normal

i start of on normal/medium or is i know the game really well i sometimes jump to hard.
hard first
Normal, medium, whatever you want to call it.
Easy. Because if I try to start playing at the highest level, after finishing the game, the rest of the difficulty setting would be rendered useless. Enjoy the game as much as possible. ^__^
Normal i don't feel the need to mess with the difficulty. If its too hard to play on normal chances are I couldn't beat it on easy either.
normal; hard is too hard and easy is too easy... though it also depends on the game itself.

the dificulty is always easy or normal

Strait up hard and to be honest ive never played a game on easy
I find it more fun on hard
Gorest, hard, brutal, insane, expert for the best cheats to come up easily
Normal... I suck at adapting to control schemes, takes like a week... ><

Easy or Normal, and when I beat the game, Hard.
Normal. That's usually how the designers intended to have the game played anyway.
Mostly normal, but If you get something very good in the game by playing hard then I would choose hard, and of course if I like the story that is.
