I keep mine in a drawer, standing upright. Is it true that if you stack them up,
the spines of the book will curve more easily? I'm still wondering if a drawer's
the best place to put them in lol.
I keep my manga in a shelf, and I don't open the plastic cover until I want to
start reading it. After I read it, I make sure I put it back, and not leave it
out.
Not sure how much that might help. My manga books are still rather new.
A shelf... stacked on top of each other. Some are on the floor. Some are in my
bed. My manga caring skills don't exist, but they stay in pretty good condition,
nonetheless because I'm used to having a messy room.
Well the yellowing process is kinda inevitable........
So how about covering the cover of the manga with some plastic....... sheet or
whatever and keep them where it's dry
if you're a hardcore of the title, buy 2 copy of each volume of it then place 1
in your shelf & 1 in your hand for you to read it. though you may severely
damage the 1st copy you still have a copy in perfect condition in your shelf.
Do a tight plastic wrap. (Dark corner, cupboard or sumthing. Throw in some
mothballs.)
Or put it in ur fridge for maximum effect... LOL. Seriously, I think the fridge
is the best place. It yellows cuz bacteria screws it up. Freezing the book would
stop bacterial activity. xD
But really, yellowing doesnt really affect does it...
If ur paper yellowed significantly the anime is pretty outdated... unless ur a
collector...
hmm mine are just on the shelf. they're in a lot of use so they don't really get
dusty. I guess I don't really protect them by any way. But I really love them so
I do handle them with care ^-^
each one of my manga have there own ziplock bag it keeps the dust off and slows
the yellowing proscess plus its cheap and when your always broke thats a good
thing.
I keep mine in empty cologne boxes, label them, and put them on the bottom
drawer of my dresser. But I'm running out of cologne boxes because I don't
actually wear cologne, I keep taking my families boxes. And so now some of them
are just sitting in there...
bleh... ya i wanna keep them clean X_x and perfect.... bleh.... some kind of
book cover.. and i don't think i should stack them anymore cause someone just
said it screws up the spine X_X....... oh and.... you know what i did....
my manga.. i ahven't even read it yet LOL..... i buy a copy.. and go to book
store and read another copy of it there !
but i really want some kind of book cover...... for the mangas...
For those out there who buys manga, how do you slow down the yellowing process to a minimum?
Well, I really love my mangas and I spend a lot of money for them (I buy around 40 volumes of mangas per week) so I protect and keep them very well.
If you want them to be well-protected, you should have several shelves for them, and be careful each time you take them out or put them in ^^

WELL I try and do the best laminating and either put them in a nice box and seal it or put it on a shelf and constantly clean the shelf.
I wrap my book cover up. Best way, in my opinion, to keep the cover clean. ^^
a bookshelf, read it carefully. No touching unless you're allowed

With Ziplockbag obviously, those Manga are part of my life too!
minimize moisture and exposure to heat... keep your manga always dry.
