Robotech.
I didn't even know about what anime was til I started looking for VHS copies of
the show and discovered the anime section. My love for the genre then grew as I
checked out the titles they had at the time.
i wish i was joking but my first anime was when i was only 11 and it was Mangas
Black sheep movie Urotsukidoji (Legend of the overfiend)....can you imagine what
that movie does to a young mind...the horror, the horror
Fruits Basket manga. Kare First Love though I didn't get to read it all, I am a
big fan of shoujo manga! I'll read whatever you give me, as long as the main
characters are hot!
The first anime I saw was the english adaptation of Macross/Southern
Cross/Mospeada (otherwise know as Robotech). However the anime that really got
me into the genre was Tenchi Muyo! and Martian Successor Nadesico.
Sailor Moon. That was when I was about 10 and just knew that I liked the art
style, and didn't know what anime actually was. Then I found Evangelion at 15
and it all went from there.
Like a lot, Sailor Moon was the first- still a big fan! The network that showed
it had other great shows, like DBZ, Gundam Wing, and Tenchi Muyo! along with it,
so it was always fun to watch after school!
I've always been partial to anything animated, even when I was a kid I loved to
watch cartoons and such, so anime wasn't an exception. Hmm.. The first anime I
watched would be.. err.. (I forgot ) I
distinctly remember watching a series called "Blue Blink" and others,
but I forgot their English Translations
Well mine is the very old "Macross" anime which was produced and aired
during 80s. Ever since I became more interested in Japanese animes than American
Disney fairytales!

Mine was Sailor Moon ^_^ and I still luv it! ^_^

For me it was Gundam Wing. i had seen others before it, but Gundam Wing really got me going on the whole anime thing.
Pokemon! ^^ or Akazukin Cha Cha.
Inuyasha. Still like it to.
Taihosic - You're under arrest! -

My first anime was probably Sailor Moon (the version that was edited, not the original, which is depressing), and the "-mon" series.

The first and my favourite anime.
Sailor Moon propelled me. But it got deeper with Yu Yu Hakusho.. hehe
