Inuyasha is a typical anime, but the characters have complex personalities that
are usually misunderstood by brats.
I checked the strong points of every character and found that all have balanced
qualities. Kikyo for example, she's really strong (feared by Naraku himself),
she is beautiful (you must be blind to deny that) and she's unpredictable (thing
that makes her even more mysterious). The only disadvantages are that she's dead
and vengeful. But balanced, they make Kikyo an interesting character.
She develops her attitude throughout the show.
Don't be fast judges, try to like characters, hating anime is silly, it's not
like you can actually harm them.
To see the actual personalities (which are 80% different than in the anime) read
the manga, it's worthy.
I agree. I think Kikyo is an interesting character. She's complicated, certainly
not completely evil, unlike Naraku. And her role in the story is an important
one. If anything, I'm more inclined to feel sorry for her than hate her. After
all, she was tricked, too. She didn't ask to be ressurrected, and then it was
only the small, bitter part of her soul stuck in a fake body while Kagome kept
the rest of it.
Kikyo is the best. She's independent, doesn't take any prisoners, but still has
a soft side if you get to know her. On the other hand, there are people like
Kagome... argh...! The agony. A happy-go-lucky whiner who just throws herself
into danger w/o any semblance of what could go wrong. And requires saving all
the time. If she didn't inherit Kikyo's power, she would have been toast long
ago...
Sorry this thread is supposed to be for ones who 'hate' Kikyo but as Kikyo
admirer -not a fan- I have to disagree with you. It would be more reasonable if
you state why you hate the girl. Just because she's a threat to your favorite
Inuyasha pairing or she's a negative character in general doesn't mean she's
horrible. Besides Kagome is reincarnation of Kikyo. And Like it or not that
means that Kikyo eventually returns into Inuyasha's arms! Kagome is Kikyo and
vise versa. They're part of one entity. So if you hate Kikyo that means you hate
Kagome as well.
And yeah I agree that Beauty, Strength, and Mysteriousness are three prominent
characteristics of her.
I thought she brought the moral of the show down, not in general that the show
wasn't already brought down...but the music and artwork was rather well got to
admit that much, still think they should have showed the lovely sesshie more
though

then steeling Inuyasha's heart
and in the end she died in no good moment.
She schould at last release Inuyasha, and let him live in peace. But nooo...

Kagome and InuYasha. She even destroyed their romantic moments. I don't like her
and all I can say to her is "You have a serious problem GIRL!"

dead and getting revenge. she should have stayed dead thruout the entire series
and not make kagome so miserable.
I personally hated Kikyo in the anime Inuyasha and wanted her to leave the show in a way not unlike that of soap operas. Who's with me?

Why are you people so mean. Kikyo is my best friend just last week I had her over for cheese and crackers and we played checkers all day long.
