Right now, I'm writing this from a college computer, but for over a year, I
haven't been able to enter Minitokyo. When typing http://www.minitokyo.net/, my browser
would take forever to load the site, only to give me either a 404 error or an
annoying porn site. I have checked both IE and Firefox and tried doing this on
other computers in my household, and it gives me the same thing every time. It's
only here at college that I actually get the site. Can someone tell me how I can
fix this problem?
A 404 would have occurred around 2 weeks ago when the site was temporarily
offline, however there shouldn't be many other instances where that would have
happened. As for a porn site, certainly not here. Either your typing the url
wrong (such as .com instead of .net) or you've got some serious problems on your
home computers.
No, I'm definitely typing in minitokyo.net and even tried entering the site from
google to see if I did type in wrong, and it's the same thing with every
computer in my house. Maybe it's my router or something cuz I can get on just
fine here in college. But even then, I wonder why it is this site that's blocked
while every other site on the internet works fine, cuz I don't have that problem
with other sites and I have checked if I blocked or not.
It sounds like your computer has been infected. My old computer had something
similar; google searches would always come back with dozen of porn sites, and
thumbnails of images would stop loading halfway through & then start loading
hardcore adverts for porn sites.
It isn't you. It isn't MT. It's something in your computer.
No, my computer has been cleaned and this ONLY happens with MT. Every other site
I go to works fine, and it's only this particular site that has this problem.
I'm having an issue with MT for the lasts few days or that the site comes up,
but all the the tabs, messages and images are all on the right and in larger
font withiut the backgound image. Also the images don't show, but do download in
thae large image though. I don't know if its me or the site itself because it
was working fine before. the problem does occer on my other computers too two
being XPs and a Vista all dells. So if someone can tell me what to do or tell me
what what is going on. Thanks.

I think I know what you mean. Sometimes my screen comes up like that too. But if
I press refresh it usually loads normally. Although I suppose you tried that...
The lack of thumbnails maybe also be due to your Internet connection, because it
does that to me as well when I'm using the school's unsecured wireless
connection, but it works at home.
I'm still having the problem even going what the admin said to do. My Vista
Showed some impovement on the other person's side, but not mine. Even on the
other peron's side the thumbnails don't show.
Not to sound mean or anything like that, but I didn't say I was at school doing
this. This is happening at home on my DSL. It was working fine Last
week.

Try clear your cache and reload using Ctrl+F5? If hat doesn't help, could you post a screenshot?

The thumbnails are indeed using a different so-called port, and a lot of organization networks (uni's, corporations) block a lot of ports.
