and last but not least pirates 3! that movie rocked!
So whats was your fav of favs of 07?

oh I wanted to see the mist so bad it looked really good in the previews

Transformers for me. Multiple viewings from me, which is a rarity. I saw it on day of release, also downloaded the movie just until i could buy it, then i got the movie for my birthday :D (best present too as it's in a steelbook case \o/ )

transformers was good, so resident evil extension...but I'm going with live free or die hard...perfect theme/plot but if you're not a computer junkie then you might not have liked it very much

Hi supo, how you're doin'?

I'm a dedicated filmgoer so I may disagree with some opinions here. Anyway these are my favs.

Ratatouille. I'd go as far as to bet fot his movie as the best of 2007. It's FUNNY, dynamic and artistic in almost every sense.
Live free or die hard was good, it blows your mind with the intense action, and I liked it. Yet The Bourne Ultimatum gave me something for mi mind to work on.
Blockbusters? Pirates of Caribbean was the best (and the highest worldwide grosser for 2007 and 5th all time worldwide). It was a twisty, even ridiculous film with a plot a that drops to the lowest since the first film, but it makes a good job entertaining your eye and it had some surprises.

I GOTTA say, Resident Evil: Extinciton, Ghost Rider, Spider-Man 3 and Shrek the Third failed to live up onto what we were expecting from this films, and the most ridiculous film, yet strange of the year was D-Wars (what the f**k?).

This was one of the richest years for North American film releases and studios, yet the most important story stills unveiling as the current strike of the Writers Guild of America progresses.

Movies, I like them the most even over games or anime.
2007, a year to remember...and to forget (our GDP is dropping, need to move out).

C YA!

All of the movies that I'd mention have been mentioned. So even though it was released in early 2008.

'I am Legend.' So far my favourite for the new year.

Most of the movies mentioned i havent seen. I've seen part of ghost rider cause my brother rented it but i fell asleep halfway through cause it was so boring and never finished it. All the pirates movies suck. The first one was ok but the second was downright confusing and boring. I have no intention of ever seeing Pirates 3. The only one i might see would be I Am Legend.

wow you all have some really good movies!
I love all of those I watched Ghost rider too it was cool but way too short.I am Legend I wanted to see it but my mom said it sucked because he died.I also watched Shrek the third it was a wonderful movie but in the end it was too short and missed taste.Clover field looks interesting some of my friends say it might be godzilla.
I cant wait too see all the new movies of 2008!

Transformers for me. Hands down!

The Simpsons Movie. Best summed up in one of the opening lines: "I can't believe we're paying to see something we get on TV for free! If you ask me, everybody in this theater is a giant sucker!"

Also agree that At World's end was pretty cool. A great end to a great trilogy. ...I just hope that it stays a trilogy. So many series have been ruined because filmmakers have made just one too many movies. ...but that's just my beef, not intended to change the topic of the thread.

...p.s. go see Cloverfield for a great movie.
Warning: may cause motion sickness.

@ supo: Just because he died dosen't mean the movie sucked. I think all of the story works well. You should go and see it.

The Simpsons movie was more like a longer, better episode rather than anything overly special. It was entertaining though and that's what counts.

Does anyone have info about the Halo movie? I think it's coming out later this year.

Shoot 'Em Up was awesome. One of the best to come out in '07.
Sunshine was also a great movie.

Transformers, and Juno.
