I don't really care on how old am I to watch anime as long as you still enjoying to watch anime.

I've been introduced to anime at about the age of 17 if not 16, but I have not been sucked into it, until I began editing it for videos.
As of 2007 I began to watch more, and more, that's the age of 20 when I really got into anime.
As for being too old to watch amazing works of art (manga) onto the live screen, which are short, sweet, and has all you need, and love to satisfy your day at the computer.
Well I don't think there is a limit, people all over the world watch it, and age doesn't really play a role.
So; how old? - can be said simply until we are no longer able to!

I dont believe you get to old for anime, although at a certain age your preferences in anime may become creepy......ex. 30 and still watch cardcaptor sakura or chobits.

For me there is no such thing as an age limit to anime watching.
The only time I could say anime will end is when you get fed up with it or you want to watch something else.
Besides that, there is no limit.

i only have 2 years officially watching anime. but i'm not watching anime all the day, not even every day or week. i've only watched like 14 titles in all this time, it's not like i don't like anime much, i really like anime, but only some titles.

there is no old

? this is the sybol for infinity...
...which means you're never too old for anime! I started since I was 5...
I'n 16 now and as hooked as ever!
Anime for life! :D

30 in July and still watching anime (hell, 95% of my DVD collection is mainly anime, the other 5% is movies/stuff that I like and I'm very, very, very, very picky about movies). Besides, it's the only way for me to get away from the dreck that is Hollywood's body of work. And my parents doesn't seem to care. XD

i wont stop watching anime even if my hair is all white

Never

Hey, anime's not just for kids. In fact, there are animes not suitable for kids like Elfen Lied, Evangelion and so on. Just cause you're an adult doesn't mean you have to stop watching it. Enjoy the message that animes bring with them and enjoy the depressing moments as well. :P

Why must there be an age limit? I think it'd be weird if little kids watched some of the more intense stuff, like Evangelion, Peacemaker, Ranma, etc. I personally am a veteran-12 years of solid anime. ^^ I don't intend on stopping.

i'll be 20 this year an i still love anime..well my purpose is to watch anime with my kids and after with my grandsons :laugh that's a funny sight! anyways as long as some loves the anime and manga like their 1st time..age it's not a problem!

i dont think you should base whether or not to watch anime on your age.
i think that if you still like anime then you should be able to watch it without critisism.

22 now. been watching it since i was five and i dont' think i'll outgrow it in a very long time. i even started watching anime series or shows without even knowing what animes are and how different they are from typical american toons.

btw i even got professional friends who still watch anime marathons on weekends. and they are real professionals with decent day jobs.

Someone told me we stop watching anime because we grow old, but I say we grow old because we stop watching anime.

I agree with everyone who's said that age really doesn't have anything to do with it. If I find astory I like, I like it, regardless of what format it's presented in. There is nothing inherently "childish" about animation as an art medium. As far as I'm concerned, there's nothing to outgrow; regartless of what else you may be doing with your life, there's always time for some entertainment.

I'm 22, and I see no reason to ever "give up" anime. Why would I? I certainly have no plans to stop watching movies or reading fictional novels. Anime is no different; it's the stories and characters that matter; the format they are presente in isn't as important (although, of course, any good story teller has to know how to use their tools well.)

:)

As someone said, ageless is the word

Im 42 and my anime collection is nearly equal to my movie collection. I like it because it's different from the North American style of cartoons, which I am tired of. Will I ever give it up? Maybe eventually when it no longer holds my interest.

Hi! I'm 16, I started to watch anime when I was 10, I'm not counting Sailormoon and Pokemon and child anime like that when I was 6-7 OX. So, I started it when I was little little girl, and I never stop watch it :), that's it....

I've watched anime for I don't know how long at least 8 to 10 years and I'm 24 and I've seen from friends who've been to anime conventions and everything that anime is a thing that is ageless. Anyone can watch it.

i've been watchin anime since dragonball and salior moon was on morning tv before i went to school when i was about 12ish (i'm going on 26 this year). Now i run a anime store in my hometown, i don't think i'll ever stop watchin anime untill japan vanshes off the face of the earth (not like that can happen) or i die.

How old is too old? well consider that most of the members in here is over 20, I don't really think there is an age-limit in watching anime. At least thats what i think ^_^
