My friend's brother could do that so its posible yay. Did anyone tried to sleep with your eyes opened?

Maybe if I was in a coma, but since I'm a normally functioning human I'd have to go with no. And really, is it sleeping with your eyes open or more along the lines of just zoning out?

you know in coma's the eyes aren't entirely closed, most of the time they are either slightly open or they flutter...seen enough of that in my hospital working days as a nurse to know that much...but I can sleep with my eyes open...I learned how to do it in elementary school, thanks to having boring teachers and even more boring lectures...that pays me to being smart yet labeled as someone who isn't going to succeed because they thought I didn't achieve enough...hehe I taught them besides in my area even if you aren't in school all year long you still get your diploma...and you fail "x" class that is a required course you still gradulate too...

Prolly after snorting coke or smoking pot I'd be able to sleep with my eyes open. I could even die with my eyes open if we're talking about huge quantities of narcs in one sitting.

some people can do it.. (and i dont know who they are).. but most can do it with their eyes half open! lol.. (honestly i know people who sleep with their eyes half close/ open)..

i never tried before and it sounds hard to learn it, but this reminded me of breathing with your mouth and nose at the same time

nope. though there are times where I can sleep while my hearing sense is conscious.

Well I can, it happens most of time in everyday, I'm serious, it happens really.

I can just zone out, like for 5 minutes or so, but I guess that doesnt count.

Eh, a friend of my cousin did that one time, but he does that normally. So he slept all night long with his eyes opened, and when my cousin saw him, he totally freaked out^^'
But to really answer, nah, I can't, but it would be useful to me this year...

Personally no I can't, my sister on the other hand used to do it when she was younger. It used to really creep me out.

It's easy. You just space out, looking at nothing, letting go of your mind, dreaming. Once you could no longer understand what's going on around you, you're doing it right.

I can't sleep with my eyes open... but I wish I could. This topic reminds me of when I was a kid, I used to think that I could sleep with my eyes open and spot any robbers who happened to drop into my room, and then I could alert my parents. ... Kiddy innocence. But do you think it's possible to go out cold with your eyes open? Think I've done that before.

Yeah, somewhat. I've been told that when I sleep, I look like I'm only sleepy. So that makes people think I'm bored, but paying attention. Quite a handy trick, and the teachers don't notice that I'm asleep until I don't stand up after class.

i can doze off with my eyes open, but i can't fully fall asleep. i'll probably just lose focus of whatever, and then snap back "awake".

I can't, but I have a friend who can. When he sleeps, his eyes are only partially closed, and it looks seriously creepy. You'd swear that he was dead. It's fitting, I guess, because his nickname is Diablo.
