hypocrisy come from ignorance
one example althought in quran (koran ) state that any one who kills another persone is forsaken in hell and will never accept his redemption , still alot of ben-laden followers kill hundred of people across the world, not to talk about other muslims.
yeah I know we have the right to sin , it's beacause of this free will that w'll be judged by god but those terrorists kill as they pretend in the name of god
so I don't knwo what to say about them nor what someone have to say to bring them to reason
but we have to stop them.
All religious people are.
They might know it, or not.
Yes, some are hypocrites but some are what they speak of. I like the Parish Priest at my church, but some other people are just hypocrites.
I actually know a lot of people (not priests) who preach religious stuff but when it comes to their lives and how they behave, its a 360 degree turn.
But I really don't like people who observe extreme views about thier religion. I mean if you would kill others because they don't observe that yours is the true religion and that's hypocrisy in it's ultimate form, after all most religions on earth preach peace, not hate or violence.
Not all religious people are hypocrites. Speaking of terrorists who claim to kill in the name of God, they are just a bunch of extremists, or they're looking for the perfect excuse to continue their evil deeds. Anyway, what makes you think that religious people are hypocritical in the first place? For all you know, they may be hypocrites to start off with, not just for religion, but in other aspects of their life as well. But I admit that there are some who are a bit too showy... Those should really sit and think about what God means to them. We are told to put God first, but not to the extent of bragging about it. After all, everyone has God in themselves too, they aren't the only ones who have been 'enlightened' or get God's blessings. They shouldn't act that way in front of others of different religion either, because it'll give others a bad impression of the religion.
yes, it is.. they've the wrong definition with God's lesson
Then what is God's lesson?
And how do you know that it really is God's lesson?
not all of them are bad, but I believe some are, especially those that come to my door trying to "sell" their religion as "the" religion and mine just happens to be fake, these days I just tell them my religion and shut the door back in their faces, I'm not in the mood to try to compare and contast our beings of worship it just ain't possible...but for the most part they sort of are "down to earth" about be not being like them, others don't care and a few state they will "pray for me" (one of those people so happens to be my mother that doesn't even follow the xian faith as she should) but at any rate I don't see the big deal with allowing people to believe/follow/etc whomever and whatever they want as long as they don't break any laws/rules and they are happy (minus trying to convert me of course
)
Bcos God said that. look, if bible is juzt a fiction, the writers would write 'this story is juzt a fiction, n blah3.. bcoz if they didnt do it, there would be much trouble
'
Please elucidate yourself in the best English you have, please. I cannot follow you here.
Are you saying that if the Bible is fiction, the writers are fictional as well?
i mean the writers would write it there like,' the story in this book is juzt a fiction..'
A fiction book does not have the writer say "the story in this book is just a fiction"... -.-
I'd rather not get involved with such things.
They all claim to follow GOD.
I just let them do as they wish.
I personally don't get too involved with religions.
I just believe and praise GOD and that's it.
You don't need a certain religion to serve GOD.
It must come from the heart.
they have
Only very, very few have...most don't...
Didn't you read any at all?
According to that logic, all religious holy texts are correct, because none of them claim to be fictitious. Are you saying that you feel Islam and Scientology are also correct, since their holy texts do not claim to be fiction?
I can't say I all. I have to say most of them. Whatever they admit it or not. most of them tends to try to convince you see their point of view at the same time they don't follow themselves. I think that those that talk about it and not try change to change your religious but try to see your point instead of their. Are true to their religious. Sharing religious is ok. But trying to convert someone. Is just plan wrong. to me is full a lie. They try to convince you so that you will believe them.
islam came from the christian-Mohammad got inspiration from his wife that is Christian. but the Christians r different bcoz the writers can tell the same stories, in different times.

believe God, not 'them'. it's our job to spread the world. i must say that no one in this world r wise than what the bible says. so which is the right one?
Spread the world. more like twisting the truth. Saying something like "God love you. He forgive." or "God is with you. Every day and every moment. You can't see him. But he there" Sound o me if I don't change my religion or belief. I will fall in the wrong path. I say "whatever, I fall. I fall."
I m christian, but alot of my friends arent. Like my best friends are atheistic, and hindu. Thats what they believe, and i dont try to stop them. its not my place to try and persuade them otherwise. the only thing i can do for them is laugh in the good times, and try to cheer them up in the bad. but things like what religion they choose- that is none of my buiseness.
Hmm...They aren't to blame. After all, the leaders stick in their heads that their religion is the only true one and the others are wrong. The ones to blame are the leaders, the true hypocritic.
I'm religious and activist.
There are two knids of hypocresy in religion:
-A religious leader hypocresy: the most espectacular, because it always leads to big escandals that, sooner or later, adorn the frontpage of the newspapers.
Priest that have two lives, leaders of fundamentalist group that send everybody to dye but them, false phrophets that become rich from their sheep's money and that even are polygam, etc, etc, etc.
"THERE IS NO TRUTH THAT CAN'T FINALLY BE KNOWN, NOR SECRET THAT CAN BE HIDDEN FOREVER". From the Bible. That's why is so much fun when they finally show up in the news.
Now, the second, most common, most dangerous, and less known (because, among them, nobody cares).
-The average Joe hypocresy: Those that you see sitting at the church... but that do not believe, they go only to show themselves in front of the community; those who use religion to make social life or bussiness; those that being married have extramarital relationships; those who attend church but do nothing about other people...
THIS is the worst kind...
HOWEVER, THT'S NO REASON TO QUIT ON RELIGION... BECAUSE THAT'S LETTING THEM WIN.
Religious communities need TRUE PEOPLE, that even as they are as few sheep sourronded by a thousand wolves, hold on THEIR IDEALS.
There's NOTHING MORE SAD THAN YOUTH WITHOUT IDEALS
Thats cause they're more liberal. And they're not fundamentalists and it doesn't mean that they don't believe in their religion, just they're not that deep into it. Theres really no hypocrisy in it. Whats hypocritic is saying "Thou shalt not kill" and follows the "Kill non believer" part of the bible -.-...
Umm... ideals? Depends on what you want to consider as an ideal... and what type of ideal...
Its not that sad to have no ideals, it just means you don't have this like... view of excellence or whatever, and that sometimes is a good thing. You don't always have to have a role-model to become something.
I guess all are HYPOCRITIC,Because always say respect the other religions but always they try to convince you that their religion is the one true religion.
I don't think religious people are hypocrites. They follow their leaders teachings. Their religious leaders teach them their religion is the only way to salvation and to be saved they must behave according to their religion rules. It's natural for them to consider people outside their religion damned and try to bring them to salvation or to abandon them to their own luck.
There are hypocrites, of course: people of some religion who don't believe in it or don't follow its rules. They lie for themselves, but this hypocrisy can cease to exist when these people change, go find what they really believe and follow it.
'There's nothing more sad than youth without ideals.'
I agree. People of all ages without ideals are apathetic. We come to this place to do something instead of seeing the time running. Ideals don't mean religion only. There are atheists with ideals and apathetic religious people waiting the end of the world.
Someone wise said once 'you must believe in something, even if it's a piece of wood' to me. He told me the tea made from a piece of wood one of his relatives believed it was holy cured this relative fatal disease. This is the power of belief. In the case, it was a piece of wood someone took from the ground.
I'm not catholic, muslim or anything else, but I do believe in a Creator and every day I see His miracles in my life. He doesn't let me without money to pay my bills and put food in home and doesn't let me be sick. He helps my grandmother and my uncle recover from their lethal diseases. Of course I must believe in the Creator. If you are an atheist, I won't judge you, and it should be a pleasure to have you as a friend.
