Alrighty mates! Ahoy and check the new layout for ye tavern's page. If ye likes it, tell me. If not, help me improve the page! I was bad and forgot about the layout I'd promised ye a month ago. I made this layout today in about 30 mins, so I am very open to any suggestions since it was a hurry, but I love the pic. ^^ Also... this is a wakeup call for the group. I know you have school, life, college and whatnot... but come by and check on us. We'd like to know if ye be kickin' still.

If you have any suggestions for the group and its improvement on content and remodeling with the group's page it'd be appreciated. If anyone has any links (pirate-related): be it music, pictures, or anything else... feel free to send me a PM and I'll try to incorporate it into the new layout.

Looks nice. I don't think it needs anything really.

Well, I like the background, because of the dark look! There is one thing that's been bothering me about the page though, it tends to take a while to load and my browser freezes for about 30 seconds, maybe because of the background music. I don't know if I am the only one with this problem though.

One more thing, the banners, why not add 'target="_blank" ' after the links to the group page?
It opens the page in a new tab or new window, depending on which browser you are using.
Just put that after the link to the page, but outside of the quote.
For example, <a href="http://jolly-roger-tavern.minitokyo.net/" target="_blank">

Oh! Thanks for noticing that. ^^ See, I'm so glad someone is double-checking my work!
I can remove the music and see if the problem goes away.

Humm... I wonder what happened to the background picture. It was there yeasterday and now its not.
I'll work on my code some more tonight and hopefully I'll iron out all the errors. ^^

Ah, yes, the page loads much faster without the background music!
Why not have a music player to load the music when the page is done loading. Take mine on my page for example. It doesn't slow down the loading process.
As for the background, I still see it.

BTW: I'm out of town for awhile, but I will be back soon and will try to fix anything else if something comes up. This computer that I'm working on now has IE only and shows up fine. I did put the moz-opacity codes for the MT toolbar at the top and I wasn't sure if they worked. DarkSerge2000, do you see a fuzzy bar at the top of the page in front of the toolbar (minitokyo, browse, forum, art... etc)?

I will try to see what I can do to fix the problems. Please let me know if something is amiss, I want to become better and you can't without trial and error. This is all a learning experience for me. Thank you all for your patience. I really appreciate your help.

LOL Ah don't worry, I've been there before! I've practiced a lot with HTML and I have made my share of typos. Try writing a computer program and miss one character. It doesn't run and you can spend hours trying to figure that out. No problem though, you'll get there!

Hmm, if by a "fuzzy bar", you mean this: then yes, I do. Personally, I would make it darker (if you intended to have a fuzzy bar). The links are a bit hard to see. Try a shade of green or black and if necessary, make the links a bit lighter then. If that doesn't work, then try editing your background and make the part that is behind the links darker.

Trial and error, yeah, that'll do it. Oh, and about IE, I dislike it so much that I made my firewall block it from the Internet!

As for the bar, I can see that just fine, so no worries.
