question: would we be allowed to use scans and pictures from anime movies to
create something from a Western movie? Like for example, use pics from Spirited
Away for say, Cinderella?

That would be fine. You can use scans from anime movies to make Western walls,
but you can't use say, Spirited Away scans to make a Spirited Away wallie (since
Spirited Away is an anime-styled movie). Get it?

like a lot of fun ^_^ Can we submit vector/painted hybrids walls, or does it
have to be vectored only?
Uh, I guess vectored/painted would be alright, as long as there's something
vectored in there.
(Sinever, if you disagree feel free to comment!)
I don't really understand about it
you mean we create a movie in hollywood to be anime
and use an anime background to collaborate it?
mmmm Or we use some anime movie, like clannad which minami say?
or clannad just for background
hehehehe
i just don't get it very well
maybe i kind of stupid
So this contest is to create some only movie hollywood or a movie anime
What i get it is Movie hollywood and crete them to be anime vector
hehehehe
If I wrong please explain again to me
maybe to create that is difficult
hehehehe
^ ^
No no, you pick a movie and then, using anime scans, make a wallpaper out of
it.
Example:
Movie - Broke Back Mountain
Wallpaper made - BrokeBack
Geass [Yup...I'm not kidding] by Kitten
Get it? You pick some scans to make an anime version of a Hollywood movie.
You cannot make a wallpaper about an anime movie because that would be too easy
(people would just vector a screencap).
If you have anymore questions, just ask. My answer is probably confusing.
What if the movie isn't from Hollywood? For instance, i would like to make a
wallpaper for one my favorite french movies. I might even choose an italian or
german movie. But yeah, I have already planned out and found pictures for a
wallpaper of a french movie (which will remain un-named to protect my idea!).
One more question: am I allowed to illustrate a series of films? They belong to
the same series, it's just that I want to combine 2 or 3 posters. The films have
nothing to do with anime, I just wondered if it's allowed to illustrate a
series, not only one film.
i also have a question..
there are some live-actions based on mangas (with NO anime adaption) but with a
total different story. just 1 or 2 elements.. what about them? of course I
wouldn't use a manga scan for the wallpaper..
if i understand the rules right they are not allowed but i am not quite sure..
oh okeh thanx chloe san, I think I got it ^^
Hope I can finish it before the deadline

OMG this is going to be so much fun... I love Brokeback Geass anyway, I'm so glad it inspired a contest...
Yup, that's fine.

I have one final (maybe) question!

You mean like (for example) The Godfather movies? Or The Matrix movies? Yup, that's fine =)
Yup, it's something like that. Thank you for clearing that
