God is a woman she told me so herself.
hahaha. if God was a woman, wouldn't it be goddess instead? then again, God is the name so it's very possible God is a female. but i really believe God can be whatever it wants to be.
It really doesnt make sense for god to have a gender. Sexual organs are made for procreation, and I dont think that the single being at the beginning of the universe would need to have a fixed form, let alone a sex. Besides, being all powerfull, He/She/It could be what ever they wanted to be.
maybe asexual? i don't see why God would need sex organs if (s)he/it can create life without sex.
He's neither, of course -- he has no need to have a "gender". It's akin to asking what gender my pet rock has, or my computer, or the universe.
Traditionally, and in my post, he's referred to with male pronouns, simply because due to historical/cultural reasons, there are no respectful gender-neutral pronouns in English. Saying "it" has negative connotations. I've seen this come up in translating other languages, where it became necessary to render a gender on a pronoun in the English translation, because of the connotations with "it".
Historically, we can say there were other reasons, but nowadays, for a lot of people, it's simply an artifact of the language. The historical reasons aren't worth going into, as they're in the past, in my viewpoint.
To me, this could easily springboard into an interesting discussion of "why does gender matter".
because god is a horny guy and likes to watch porn?
Just because God doesn't need them doesn't mean they're not fun to have.
I think I'd probably be more religious if I were sure that God is a hot, heavenly babe.
I think this thread should now be about whether god is a blond or brunette. or whatever other hair colors.
I say red hair personally. god>burning bush>fire>red.
seriously.. you need to calm down, priincess. everyone is entitled to their opinion, and you come along say our opinions are ridiculous. and if i recall, i thought it was stated for us to not make fun of other's beliefs. o_o
anyway.. personally, i think God is genderless.
i
agree with some of the other people who said God takes the form of what it
wants.
and if God had hair, i think it would be red, too! that would be awesome, since i'm a redhead, too.
go
redheads!
ginger? no way. haven't you seen south park? gingers' have no soul. hahaha. if anything, i'm going for brunette.
God is often pictured as a man because long time ago men are biased, you know "women the weaker sex" thing
But according to the bible, God created women from man, which means women does not exist before man. thus God is not a female. AND, since God also created man, which means God existed before man. so he is not male either. So what is he, or wad is his gender? it snot for us to comprehend...
and of course, Jesus is God in form of a male human.
Oh really? You saying that god's gender is determinate on the order in which the first man and woman were created. I say that God said she wanted to try something new so she made a man. and then got tired of it and created the first woman so something might actually get done. God took the rib from Adam cause she was hungry. simple as that. God is a woman.
Of course Jesus was a man. Cause he's actually Santa Clause, whom is a man.
Anyways man or women whats gods hair color?
I think God is genderless. =)
definitely can't be ginger. ginger's have no soul. neither do the japanese. so brunettes are out of the question. it's all explained in south park. logically, that leaves only blonds doesn't it. wishfully speaking, i hope god is actually a hot brunette woman. i'll definitely follow christianity if god was. hahaha.
Since god is perfect, he should be every possible gender and have every possible reproductive organ. How else could he create all organisms on earth?
The only being that can give you a definite answer to that question is from God.
As of now, I say (more specifically THINK) he is a male.
My reason is because I friggin' said so.
nah i simply mean God isnt a man or a woman
God is God you know, but i don't understand why people keep seeing God as a human, therefore asking if God is a man or woman, is just simply our humanly view.
God doesnt have gender.
what kinda boring answer is that... hahaha
how that suppose to be so important so that God told u that He's a woman?
God isnt something for fun
make
fun of urself if u want
I don`t know
I say it depends on what an individual thinks about a certain persona that the current generation have not encountered yet.
I can say this just by looking at the posts.
