maybe it's weird to listen or collect instrumental music because there is no lyrics but I really enjoy collecting albums of instrumental music because I'm realy impressed to the melody of the music. I already have collected Castlevania, Chrono Cross and Trigger.

Yes, I do. I have several Joe Satrinai and Steve Vai albums, as well as a lot of other guitar instrumental albums. On the anime side, the Aria soundtrack albums are largely instrumental. So is the Asatte no Houkou, the Sketchbook and the Haibane Renmei soundtrack.

On the "game music" side, I'm leaning more towards the remix side with the Back in Time CDs and the Remix64 CDs amongst others.

Also, don't forget that classical music is mostly instrumental. So is a lot of folk music. In fact, a lot of musical traditions are steeped heavily into instrumental music. Forgetting that and obsessing too much over the SINGING is the only weird thing about it. There is far more to music than just lyrics.

I have very few- its hard to find any music in this modern time that doesnt require the lyrics- but for me Nine Inch Nails has a few good beats- in fact they have some songs on their website that are instrumental only for free download. I also enjoy a bit of classical music, but thats a gimme. Other than that I have some Weird Al for sanity's sake.

I have some nobuo uematsu, and some ayumi hamasaki instrumental albums, and like you I do really enjoy the melody as well.

About 95% of Apocalyptica songs are instrumental [and many are cello only], so with all their stuff I'd have to say yes. That's before you add in things like Pachelbel's Cannon in D Major [my favourite piece of music], or a few other random albums.

I don't have any albums or anything that is all instrumental but I really a lot of instrumental songs.

I listen to a ton of instrumental music. I enjoy electronic music, ambient/new age, classical, jazz, and stuff like that. I also like soundtracks for various games and anime (Touhou FTW!).

Yap... bcoz it's sound goods

For me vocal and instrumental music occupy slightly separate emotional niches but are equally powerful. The lack of human sounds in instrumental music makes it more conducive to dark, melancholic moods but at the same time the human voice is particularly effective at conjuring up emotion and therefore is also able to guide the listener along various paths of emotive exploration.

its not weird at all, i love instrumental music
i do have cds even tho i don't have mp3s
