I do believe this kind of layouts belong to the past, why dont you make a web 2.0 layout? Everybody is sick of the current one...

What do you mean by "everybody?" You're the only person that I've ever even heard complain about this layout. Suggesting a change is fine, but don't act like you speak for the entire world.

Well I do also think that this layout is oldish and needs a change in near future .

Yeah, MT has had this layout for like ever. haha. Maybe something is in the works. Hmm.

I thought the mascot contest thing was for the new layout.

Although I think I did hear something about a new layout being made from somewhere.

I am pretty neutral about the whole layout thing. A new layout would be nice, but so would leaving it the way it is.

Nope! Not me, although I'm using my own layout I still find the default layout presentable. It's colors are very balanced and smooth to eye. In fact, MT's layout was the first thing that attracted me before I became a member. I also think that a new layout is nice idea but as melymay said 'leaving it the way it is is' also fine. Naturally, there are still plenty of things to be done around MT, especially after the mess the hacker made around. This website's big, so is the number of its members. Its management and control requires extra work and lots of effort. MT's layout will change at one point in time. We've seen changes in gallery's functions, so there are changes happening around. It's best to wait and be less complaining about less important aspects of a website.

@melymay Yeah I can remember one of the moderators mention about this not long ago. I cannot remember where did I read that. I am eagerly waiting to see the new layout!

Well, I'm using my own skin, too, but we're talking about the layout here [I mean, where and what stuff shows up on each page], right? xD So, here's my two cents.

It would be really nice to change the positioning of the add banners and switched to "sponsored" advertising, like AP does. Or, if that's not an option, at least get rid of the ad at the top of the page -- maybe position it somewhere else?

Other than that, I like this layout <3 Like someone else said, it works [> it's functional and convenient]. What more could we want?

I agree. It's rather annoying to spend the time to make a nice skin and then have it covered by an add.

If the main layout changes- fine. If it doesn't- fine. As long as it remains functional I don't really mind one way or the other.

oh no don't change the layout, it took me forever to figure how this one worked.
