I spent all last week watching Initial D with my dad, and I think he's more into
it than I am.
So now I'm wondering if you've watched anime with one or both of your parents,
and which one it was. How is it? Or are your parents into anime as well? Or are
you a parent that watches anime with your kids, or are your kids not into it?
My parents aren't really into anime... My dad hates anything with subtitles, but
my mom seemed mildly interested in Kenshin...
Her real addiction came in the form of the GTO live-action dorama. She was
watching the episodes on my computer. I was so tired so I said "After this
episode can I go to sleep?" and she just kept saying "Next
episode!"... oh man... didn't get to sleep til around 4 a.m...
@_@
I'd try to get my dad to watch anime, if he wasn't always busy watching Cops
like 30 times a day... or Halmark channel... or Lifetime Movie Network... God I
hate the TV he watches.
My mum has watched Inuyasha with me a few times, most of the time she doesn't
get it because there's too many demons popping up here and there, and the Malay
dubs for the series on local TV isn't very good. She'd rather have it in
English. I've tried to introduce other anime to her (something that isn't too
violent, has a twisting plot or fan service), but she doesn't seem keen. My dad
is pretty hard to convert, he's too much into Chinese dramas and English action
movies. Pity... Besides that, I used to watch Pokemon in front of the whole
family when I was a kid. The adults would just sit and talk, and occasionally
stop to ask me why I like it so much.
Yeah, back in the day my parents loved watching Rurouni Kenshin with me. They
would get all excited, "ASH, WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO WATCH KENSHIN?!" (I
have the DVDs, so they could bug me anytime to watch it) And whenever they would
watch, they'd ask 345846845 questions while it was playing. It was irritating D:
I got my mother to watch all of Magic Knight Rayearth with me. Sometimes she'll
just randomly stop and watch whatever my little sister and I might be watching,
but that's the only complete series she ever really showed interest in that
she's seen any of.
uh nope... my parents don't like anime and everytime i watch it when they're
near, they either have a conversation among themselves or go to another room
Well, my parents would never get why I like anime (they don't like anime,
especially not my father, he'll think it's for kids since it's cartoonish), but
I remember watching Princess Mononoke with my aunt. I know that's not a serie,
but hey, it's still anime
I've watched all of Rurouni Kenshin and Kanon with my mom. At first I think she
thought it was pretty weird, but with both, after we got further into the story
she got really into it. My sister's watching Inuyasha with her. I'm still
arguing with myself over wheather or not I should try to show her Fullmetal
Alchemist...
My dad hates anime. He always tends to get away from it. Infact he told me that
he is tired of the anime I watch. He watches news all day long. It really freaks
me out . My mom is a bit understanding though. She isn't interested in anime.
But, she doesn't criticize it. She thinks that it will increase my imagination.
Yes. ^^ My mom loves Code Geass and all the Gundam serieses, and both my parents
like Death Note. (They like it more than I do, actually...) My parents don't
seek out anime to watch like I do, but if I think they'll like something,
they'll watch it. It's great having parents who are so open-minded.
I watched Naruto Shippuden with both of them...
My dad thought it was too long and boring that he fell asleep and my Mom LOVED
it.
And then after that they argued about which one is stronger, Neji or Shikamaru,
and I say : Kakashi is way much hotter ^^
Sound kind of funny but yes, I do watch anime wit my parents sometimes.
My mom not really into it and my dad always say 'I bet they can win superman'
when watching Bleach, lol .
Nope can't say that I ever have. I've watched plenty of anime with my sister,
but never the parentals.
My mom just doesn't like anime to begin with. She doesn't have anything against
anime it's just not her thing. My dad he sort of likes it, but only certain
series. We've never honestly sat down and watched anything together since his
tastes differ so much from mine in regards to anime.
As if my parents will
there like into basketball, newspaper, playing scrable and the news...will my
dad watched cartoons..XD
but you can't make them watch an anime..unless my little sibling forecs them
too..haha

...uh...yeah...strangely enough...
My mom hates anime, but likes to watch "Kiniro No Corda"...
...weird, huh?
A couple summers ago my dad and I watched Cowboy Bebop and Noir. So far I've been unsuccessful at getting him to watch any more anime.
I got my dad hooked on Hellsing, and I plan on watching the Black Lagoon episodes that I saved on our DVR with both of my parents.
