There are numerous situations in which war is 'appropriate' and necessary. I'm
sure we can all agree that World War II was unavoidable, and many other wars
throughout history were justified and even required. However, in this day and
age, I see no reason for wars to be breaking out. In my opinion, all the wars
going on in the world now are absolutely pointless and aren't going to solve
nothing. Global problems and technology has forced the world's countries to
co-exist, the only thing causing wars to break out now are religious
differences. That's a whole 'nother story though
Without war my home would not exist. Rome would never have brought civilization
to Europe, Europe would never have colonized America. And the 13 colonies would
never have fought for their independence.

IMO, all of those who think about war are selfish, and I mean for both
faction(s)... they don't even try considering other peoples feelings
U forget that wars are created out of greed and lust for limited resources such
as oil, water and to at times "cull" the population of needless
people. Almost like to weed out the excess population under controlled events.
All nations have done this at one time or another. To me, starting wars is
senseless and selfish. Who gains from the experience. It's sure hell isn't the
civilian population when politicians, military and even the members of the
business group plot to wage war on the population at large.
Alot of people who have took part in this "Scheme of the Millenium"
have gotten rich.

allies and enimes from who, ourselves and our fears of the unknown ?
It's really more about making money and setting them selves up to be power
brokers. Then there is the MIC (MIlitary Industrial Complex). Where the merging
of the two entites come together and make war more profitable. The only thing
now is the war meisters who thought they could create a "little war of
convience" for fun and profit. Well, look what they did, they have a war
which wont go away, drains our economy of limited resources including Human
Resources and cripples our infrastructure to no end.
If you ask me, those who are responsible: "They're are the HATERS, the
PLAYERS and the HATER/ PLAYERS". They are the worst.
War is an entirely necessary violence. Justified by law of balance, no peace can
ever be brought into existence without a war preceding it. If wars didn't exist,
the world would be dominated by one race only. If there was no war, there would
be no retaliation to any hostile invasion. You who think that war is unnecessary
because of the reasons for it, you only think of one party concerned. A war has
at most 2 parties involved, therefore would only commence once one party's
threat has been answered. One party is required to wage war for defensive
purposes, the other to invade. Do consider both parties in a war, not just the
one in offense.
what if you guys were the soldiers in a war? fighting, killing, gathering
information, etc. there's more to war than weapons. maybe your perspectives will
be different. personally, mine didn't change very much.
George Carlin said some things about war. I'm pretty sure it would be a bad idea
to say it, because it is probably not appropriate. He pretty much said war
happens because of male insecurities. I can see how this is probably true.
War is pointless, it is a waste of money, it destroys the earth and the soul of
the human species.
no. there were some points to wars. it is not entirely a waste of money. sure it
destroys the earth but it can be repaired, not to the full extent but it's
possible. i don't know about the soul of human species... i, myself, don't
believe in a soul so count me out on that one. i.e: the american revolution. the
americans fought off the british so they can escape prosecution. is that not a
worthy reason to fight for? or are you a tyrant? what about the world wars. nazi
germany was persecuting and destroying the surrounding countries. was it not the
right thing to do to fight them off? or are you a nazi? also, on that note,
being involved in the world wars helped boost our economy during the great
depression. that was a great plus. people found jobs in factories and companies
that supported the war. even though the equipment and supplies was used to kill
people, it was for the greater good. i'm not saying war is absolutely good. i
mean vietnam was a mistake. even though we could've won if we fought a couple
months longer, it still was a mistake to help the french on that one. (god the
french army are useless...) and do explain on the male insecurity bit...
