Has anyone ever heard of this show? It's not on the list of animes on MT.
Curious if you guys have heard of it. Started watching it not to long ago, and I
must say its awesome.
If you have, what do you think of it and why?
Wow that's a title I didn't expect to see today. I personally haven't seen it,
but it did go through a time of pretty high popularity years ago. If I remember
right, it actually showed on the afternoon block of shows on Cartoon Network
then known as Toonami. Not sure if that even exists anymore on CN. I heard it
was a pretty good and a fairly dark show but to be honest I fell out of dubs
around that time and simply never really remembered that it existed.
Marlene needs a better haircut.
Yuuji is a pansy, though the part where they wired his immune system into the
armor shrike controls was awesome. Those blue didn't know what hit em.
The opening- tokihanate is pretty cool to.

Yes indeed it did air quite a few years ago on latenight toonami. I don't think
it ever aired during the day because of content.
I own the boxset as well as a separate copy of the movie. As far as I know it's
not well known. Everyone I know that watches anime hasn't heard of it. That's
life one cannot hope to ever know every single anime title ever. It was a good
show though, plenty of action, good plot, it was rather depressing overall. But
I dare you to make an anime that is set in such a situation all happy and
uplifting.
This anime actually didn't have a dub that was bad. I thought they picked
Marlene's voice actor fairly well. I actually enjoy the dub over the subbed
version. Which is rather very very rare for me. Only other series would be FMA
and various gundam series.
I borrowed its movie a long time ago from one of my friends. Too bad I wasn't
able to find the series 'cause the movie was confusing for me. I found the plot
and presentation nice though.
I'd actually heard of that anime before I watched it. It is still in Fanfiction Anime/Manga section list
Well the movie was just an abridged version of the series with a whole lot
chopped out/changed. The ending is completely different in the movie than it is
in the series. I think most of it's due to time restraints. Who knows
though.
I've only seen the DVD's online at a few stores, but only 1 or 2 of the volumes
never the complete series. I ended up being lucky finding the box set at Bestbuy
of all places. Wasn't cheap though.
They have a boxset as well, but not sure exactly what's on it. It seems to be
complete, but can't say for sure since it's a different release then the boxset
I have.
Overall, Blue Gender was kind of tedious to watch, since Yuuji was whining all
the time, but there were some interesting battles against the Blue, and Marlene
is awesome. Don't mess with her haircut! :-)
Marlene reminds me of Meia Gisborn of Vandread, or should I say Meia Gisborn
reminds me of Marlene? They've similar outfits, hairstyle, and personality.
Marlene rocks! Houko Kuwashima voices her in the japanese version (Tomoyo
Sakagami, Claire). The anime was really good, and I'm really disappointed that
its not available for others to see it. A really epic sci fi series that should
deserve to be watched
The movie basically summarizes the first part of the series, and it cuts alot of
stuff out. I remember watching it a while back, and I thought it wasnt worth it.
Watch the series, it's far more better.
And about meia, WOW, never noticed it until you brought it up

it exists). But ja, I thought it was pretty cool, if kinda dark with some mean
parts.

To be honest yeah. The movie is pretty easily found, it's the series itself that's the pain.
Heck bestbuy sells the movie alot cheaper then Amazon does.
