Well they know there's no stopping me, I guess they've learnt to accept the fact
that I like anime. I think it helped to have a younger sister who was into it
also. At first it was just the two of us fighting for something we both enjoyed,
but I think my parents are a bit more open about it now. I mean my mom even
payed for half of my Newtype USA Magazine subsciption. That
was pretty cool.
well,my parents give me the freedom to watch or buy those things.^^so can say
that they are support me to do that.they also know that i love them very much,no
use by forcing me cant love them.
My dad certainly doesn't, he kind of picks on me for buying anime and manga
although he doesn't know too much about it. My mum gives me the money to buy
manga, but she maybe thinks I read/buy too much of it.

anime?they even dont know ABC yet.that's the way how i will make my parents keep

Not really, but when I was younger (and less anime-crazed), my dad used to get
me Pokemon and Digimon shirts and stickers. After my interests matured and found
other anime to watch, I kinda kept them to myself, which is better cos I don't
think my parents approve of me watching anything too violent or illogical. Yeah,
and there's still the matter of manga/anime being childish, bla bla bla. My mum
got upset when she saw my magazine and Bleach manga collection, said I'm wasting
time and money. So from then onwards, even more reason to keep it a secret, and
pretend not to know anything and just be a casual anime watcher.
omg, no. I do my best to not watch/read anime/manga in front of my dad but my
moms ok. She doesn't care much. =)
The thing with my dad is IDK, something to do with the abhorance of Japan and
stuff. Of course, no one else in my family cares, but for some reason he just
has go psycho about them. Something about Japan and China being enemies and blah
blah blah. It's gotten better now but it's best to avoid a conflict when
possible. xDD
Well they sorta do but not really. They're kinda like if thats what makes you
happy then fine.
I get anime dvds for christmas and have gotta some mangas before.
But I don't think they realize how extensive my collection is like some of the
girlier or just flat kinda dirty shows i like chobits, gacha gacha, strawberry
panic, kodomo no jikan, etc......
They think its more like Dragonball Z, naruto, Martian successor, Eureka 7,
etc.
One time my brother was talking about anime and he said something like "i
think they call those japanese cartoons anime". and i was like "yea i
know for a fact that they do".....so i don't think my family actually
realizes the extent and the exact nature for my fondness of anime.
One time my mother found a couple issues of animerica extra in my room and
thought it was porn (i got the appropriate talk about it when i got home). she
was like "if you really want to see that stuff have your father go out and
get a playboy for you." *facepalm*
my parents hate it and whenever im done with a pic my mom just says ya 'i dont
get it' so i dont know what to believe but i know that every ani-Monday dad
comes to my apartment from work just to watch anime because he knows he wont
wake mum from laughing so hard or yelling at the character or even commenting on
'how is the hair staying in place', o ya i moved out and live in maine. Ha ha i
use to live in NH now im in collage, oh near the border if ya wanted to know at
the line right between NH and Maine. Haha kindy weird, my girlfriend hates me
for not going to NHU. aaTMI *lol....
My parents support it, but I don't know if my mom knows that there is and I
watch mature anime, she's fine with my 13 year old brother owning movies like
Harold and Kumar. So she either doesn't care or doesn't know, I've just been
going with she doesn't know to be safe. Not gonna watch the first episode of
Ranma 1/2 with her near by again(although I watched 3 times with her only 5 ft
away.)
