I'm just curious to know how long you can last without watching a single episode
of anime, or for that matter, doing anything anime related? Is it easy enough
for you to let go of the anime for months on end, or would it be difficult to
get past only a week without the stuff?
Giving up a form of entertainment that I've devoted myself to for six years
sounds a bit uncomfortable for me, but I think I could probably manage a month
or two without it. Going through a single week without doing anything
anime-related (anime, manga, internet forums, etc) definitely felt like I was
missing something.
But I suppose the "withdrawal" symptoms start to kick in when you
decide to quit right away.
I don't think I can survive without anime..haha..
but since I started going to highschool
i stopped watching them..I only watched them on fridays..haha
I dunno I haven't really thought about it before, I have been watching anime all
my life so it would be horrible to go without out, but I have gone week to week
that's about it of watching anime and that's mostly one episode to another hehe,
the rest of the time it's basically me watching anime that I've either bought or
taped over the years, I think I would go crazy without doing something anime
related, anime is life to me it keeps me in check
I kinda agree with melyman .... well 3 months is a bit long actually, more like
2. Sometimes i go through phases where i'm just not that into anything, but then
i find something and fall in love with it, and im outta that phase pretty quick
^^ lol
Hmm.. I think Anime has been incorporated in my life eversince I'm 12.. and I
think can probably last up to a week or 2.. but more than a month?! hmm.. I
think I'll started craving for it like "a man in a desert, looking for an
oasis" hehe.. :p
I can last the whole day without anime. But when nighttime comes, around
11:30pm, I just can't control the urge of turning on that DVD player, putting in
a disc, and playing it, otherwise I wouldn't be able to sleep. It's become quite
a troublesome habit of mine.
I would have a hard time not being able to do something anime-related when I'm
online but I can easily go several days without watching or reading anything. I
think that I would more than likely burn out if I did attempt to watch or read
something every day because I simply
don't have the attention span. The Internet, on the other hand, is an entirely
different story :"D
eh? Maybe a few months? Actually, make that a few weeks. I can only last that
long if I practice my drawing.
I've liked anime since as long as I can remember and been an otaku since late
elementary school.
It won't be easy to suddenly go without it.
Well, I will think about anime or manga almost every waking hour so I don't
think I could survive long. My friends always say depriving me of anime or manga
is a good way to lose blood.
i can survive without anime but probably not for very long. it really depends on
what i might be hooked onto at different times...if i go without anime, i'm
usually doing something else that has distracted me from it!
i guess if theres something else keeping me entertained, i could go about 1/2 a
year without anime! but i would probably soon revert to it! hehehe
Not very long. When my laptop broke down it took them a month and a half to fix
it. On the third day that my laptop was gone I ended up buying the first box set
of Twelve Kingdoms. By the third week I had already bought the second box set as
well as five other animes and a few mangas. ; (I almost
made myself broke with my boredom)
I guess if I have a manga and/or games to read/play I could last three day befor
wanting to watch anime. But if I didn't have anything to occupy me then I might
last 24h to 36h at the most.
I remember when I went in deployment. I left everything. I was out on sea for
seven months. The first few weeks I was like a crack addict, I went into
withdrawal. But when I came back I got back on it. Next time they sent me onto
another deployment I'll go prepare.
Well, the longer you go without it, the easier it is to let it go completely.
With my slowly diminishing interest in anime, I think it's quite possible for me
to let it go forever..but that's not going to happen since i don't have anything
to fill the void that would create.

I could probably last about 3 months. Probably even longer if I absolutely had to.

weeks, months, years, decades, i don't know. hahaha

I can't last more than 24 hours. Must at least see one per day....

I haven't watched any anime for almost two years now or more.
I still read manga though. =P Lol.
i can't survive one nano second without anime. i would die.
I can only see animes on sundays
but can't
live without it
i can survive without it =P but i can't get a good medium for making wallpapers and banners without it (except for cars)

A week... I remember at that time i was so frustrated...
I can survive as long as I'm not bored but usually I can't survive it for even one day.
