I enjoyed it. At first I was hesitant to watch this movie.. I didn't even know
it was out! Haha, but my friend... "Forced" me to go and I was
surprised that it entertained me and liked it. The ending kinda sucked though
which is a shame. No motion sickness for me, however. Lol.
Well, it wasn't really a "natural" disaster. :P
Personally, I enjoyed it. The story was simple, but I liked the presentation. I
watched at home, so maybe that's why I didn't get motion sickness. :P
As the only person in my group that didn't get motion sickness watching it at
the theater, I thought it was very well done. It's unfortunate that the camera
had to move like it did, but it would have hurt the realism of the film if it
hadn't. Maybe if they could have just toned it down a smidgen... Though it's a
bit of a stretch qualifying this film as such, there are two things that
normally destroy horror films for me 1:Seeing the Killer/Monster clearly and 2:
The Explanation of WHY it's happening. Cloverfield eliminated both of the issues
I know a lot of people thought it was terrible because of the above things that
I mentioned, but that's actually why I thought it was a good movie. It tells the
story of what happens over a night as if it were really being filmed (a lot of
what the characters do/say I could totally see my cousins doing and saying), and
it doesn't have the terrible over-acting of the Blair Witch Project (I wanted to
throw a rock at the girl in that movie when she turned the camera to her face
and said "I'm so scared!" ..................................... Who is
dumb enough to do that?). In Cloverfield
I actually wanted to shove people in the film out of the way so I could see the
television broadcasts that were in the film
I recommend Cloverfield if you don't get motion sickness too easily, but don't
say it sucks simply because of that.
Saw it. Didn't like it. Started getting motion sickness after a while. uhhhh, as
far as realism goes, not very realistic. Didn't buy the fact that someone would
hold a camera the whole time that stuff is going on. Don't think a camera's
battery would last that long, and I've never seen a camera with Night Vision
like the one in the film.
My camera has night vision like that. =P
And the cameraman explained why he was carrying it around - to document the
incident. I would do the same exact thing (but I doubt my camera is as large as
that one. Also, you'd be surprised how long a battery could last.
I agree with ArtificialRaindrop. Though I'm probably the only person who liked
how it was filmed. I liked that it moved around realistically. It made it more
important to use your ears to know what's going on.
And Rain, I wanted to shove the people out of the way to see the broadcasts as
well!
Just want to know if anybody saw the movie cause i did. It kinda gave me headache with all the camera movement.
i heard it sucked
