The anime I watched as a kid was Sailor Moon, which I adored (and though I can
see all its very obvious flaws, it'll always hold a special place for me because
of that 'first anime'). Other anime I watched as a kid I really don't like now,
which is the usual: Digimon, Pokemon, DBZ, etc. The first anime I really enjoyed
I watched when I was 15, and I still love it today, which is Evangelion.
I love the anime from the past. Tenchi Muyo, Iria: Zeiram the Animation, The
Slayers, Armitage, Evangelion, and Sailormoon were some of the first that I saw
when I was a teenager. I remember when the ScFi channel had for one week were
playing some of the anime I had just mentioned back in the late 90's. It is
because of this that I am now hooked on anime. Honestly, I feel that the anime
from the past are alot better then the ones that have come out now and the newer
ones try hard to be like the ones that came out from the past. I know some
people have this attitude about out with the old and in with the new, but it's
because of these old anime that many anime and manga writers got there ideas to
begin with.
i still care a lot. especially anime such as ranma 1/2, slayers, yuyuhakusho and
a lot more. the drawing of the old anime is cool and the storyline is also good.
haha yeah cause storylines of the old anime are better than the new anime. Also,
anime with fighting has more fighting in the old anime than the new anime. New
anime is all talk and like 2 minute fights.
I mainly care about the older anime- if you look at the new stuff- its either
feudal, or hentai (which regretfully is wrong so I abstain from viewing). The
older anime is a little more original and satisfying. But, the trends are always
changing and by the time this is even sent it will have changed lol.
And no- I'm not here to insult any particular series- we're all anime fans here,
right? (right!?)
Maybe not all of them but I like some for example rurouni Kenshin,Yu Yu
Hakusho,and as much as I hate the protagonist of the series I still love Sailor
Moon.
The Quality is not the best(animes), but it is often more fun to watch tahn some
boring new anime. At the moment i'm watching maison ikkoku and i like it.
of course. the old anime has the quality that the new one don't have. one of it
is the art and the quality of the story. some of the old anime that i can still
remember and also my favourite is slayer, zenki, and also macross.
Of course! They are original, and the new ones ale based on them. Watching them
is like digging to the surce of the anime idea ^^. And it's fascinaiting, how
anime was growing up. You can see it by watching older anime.

Yes old school is never bad hell iam buying some old series l saw and rewatching bcu some of them are too good and l can watch them over and over.
Depends how old is "old". Evangelion is my favorite anime, and it seems a lot of people consider it old (at 11 years, I can't really disagree!).
But anyway, for me, age isn't really an issue. For example, I really want to watch MSG, Zeta Gundam, CCA, and maybe Macross.
I can't help but disdain a little bit the people who are too caught up in the present. Recency never equals quality.
i miss dragon ball and gundam wing! i loved watching those retro animes

I spoke of Urusei Yatsura and Gundam on the first page. And now a good classic old anime has surpassed my love of Gundam.
