Personally, I love the challenge that goes into making a costume. Personally, I don't care if I get attention or not, its part of the challenge. If your costume sucks or just isn't up to far, you either get ridiculed or ignored. If you don't exert effort into detailing a costume its gonna hurt you bad afterwards.

Anyways, yeah... its the challenge. Cosplay for fun.
