which one? half life 2 or halo 2?
im going to go with half-life 2. the sroty's better and i just prefer 1st person
shooters when theyre on the comp. Halo 2 is a great game...its just not as good
as HL2
Half-Life 2 is god like. There is no competition with Half-Life 2 now that it is
out. Another excellent VAVLe game to put Microsofts/Bungies crappy engines to
shame.
Hal-Life is cool and all, but I prefer Halo. Two player co-op on legendary is
just the shiznit. That, and Halflife 2 seems to have come with some very
inconvenient and suspicious software called "Steam" (or does it just
require it?). You must turn on your comp with Steam in order to run Halflife 2,
and it takes down all of your comps stats and who knows what else and submits it
to the makers of the game. Probably to check for hackers after what happened
mid-production.
Another huge drawback (and it's a doozey), you need to PAY for mods ad I'm not
sure about updates. Essentially they made it a pay-to-play if you ever want to
go beyond the storyline.
Anyway if I were buying one of the two I'd pick Halo 2. But my frend already has
it - heh heh heh!
Half-Life 2 will only good for it's mods, to me... The story is good but... It
really isn't godlike...
Halo 2 on the other hand... It has lots of history behind the story,
characters, with deep backgrounds. The novels were great in telling the
story. Halo/Halo 2 keeps the story good. The multiplayer is just a addon
to me.... lans are fun but the mods for half-life have to be more fun...
If you've got a computer that has the specks to run Half Life 2, go that
way.
If you've got an X-box and aren't a rich enough person to pump alot of money
into your comptuer. Halo 2 is the way to go. Overall a computer can be built
to make any game look godly....but once again its about how much money your
gonna put into your system. For me? Halo 2....Dude I'm on an 8 year old comp
that still has windows 98 on it. I love programming but I'm a system freak.
It all comes down to what you prefer more....I personally think both have
amazing graphics and really would be a rival. Though my manager hates Halo 2
because of the massive hype surrounding it for so long.....which is in my
opinion a poor reason to hate a game, but hes got his reasons. For someone like
me who can't run HL2 (Only HL) yeah....I have to go with Halo 2...cause I'm not
wasting my money just for one game. Not now anyways I can't afford it.

than Halo 2 and i would be using a mouse instead of a control pad that i find
difficult to aim things at
Problem solved! I just love them both so much I couldn't decide. I
don't know much about graphics engines, I just know what entertains the hell out
of me and they both do that just fine.

Celeron wouldn't run both of the mentioned games 'smooth'ly...
but when they're out on the stores, I'd rather just borrow it from a friend to

make a good game even better.

half-life2 hands down. halo2 just cannot compare to HL2. While Halo2 was just
more of the same rehashed standard FPS junk that's being constantly rolled out
after playing HL2 all I can say is that I was blown away... The multiplayer
seems to be great and just wait until the mod community gets going. There's
just no way a standard FPS in halo2 with a subpar storyline and limited
multiplayer experience can compare with HL2.

with a mouse and the PC beats consoles in nearly everything (more freedom to
change the game, better graphics, ...), there is no way for Dr. Freeman to lose
this fight.

Valves Engine is smoother but at least Halo 2 has decent texture quality Half-Life 2's is shocking. but personally my vote goes to FarCry

I like amazing graphic, liberal game play of Half life. Display of Halo2 is too dark in my monitor. It has not gamma option !
