Does anyone here know about Mugen? It was that fighting game engine that was
created for the computer a while back that allowed you to add any character and
background into one super fighting game. While the activity for it has been
pretty much dead for awhile, there's still some people who program characters
for it. I have a page that directs you to where you can download some Guilty
Gear characters and Melty Blood (Tsukihime) characters: http://www.geocities.com/kunou_sama/MeltyBlood.html
If you've seen some other characters that might be interesting, can you post
them here? or any other general comments/ques about mugen
I used to play Mugen five or six years ago, if I'm not mistaken ^^
It's really a great concept, too bad that it's pretty hard to find a good site
with a reasonable amount of working characters to download...
I remember seing quite a few projects to create some anime characters for Mugen,
like Rurouni Kenshin and Saint Seiya, and a few others... dunno if they ever got
to be completed...
Maybe someone else may know something about it?
I used to playing it, like vorlon. I remember when it still had beta/alpha
versions from Elecbyte (where Mugen was spawned from). But it was always hard
to find characters that actually worked with Mugen. But when you did, it was
awesome.
But anyway, there were some funny anime char projects that were completed, like
a Spanish-speaking Shishio Makoto (Kenshin) and Kenshin who was made from the
Guilty Gear Baiken sprite. Kenshin had Ryuzuisen which was an air-to-ground
unblockable that was so fast you could down a guy and make sure they never got
up again. Shishio had some of the most aggressive comp AI I have ever seen, and
they guy can parry almost everything Street Fighter III style. Mugen is funny
as hell, and entertaining to play through. It's a pity that the idea is pretty
much dead. Some Japanese people still program for it, but other than them I
haven't found much for the last year or so

whoa... thanks for the link ^^
still have mugen engine somewhere in my hd.... *searching*
it was total fun!! you can't see kyo vs pokemon anywhere in the world lol
Mugenation is nice because it has a lot of characters and stages right on the
site; it doesn't direct you to other sites. Since alot of Mugen sites are gone,
there are lots of broken links on most sites.
I've been thinking about getting back into it. I use to love Mugan. Heck, it
was the reason why I brought a controller for my computer at the time which at
the time was pretty taboo, you know?

This is the Shishio I was talking about:

There's even a special entrance between Kenshin and Shishio!
