was anyone else disapointed with that game? i was a huge fan of starocean 2, and
i bought starocean 3 till the end of time, and i was constantly comparing it to
starocean 2 and it really made me not like it, i only played like 10 hours
before i quit. i dunno the fact that it was 400 years or so after starocean 2
and everyone from starocean 2 was just kinda dead made me unhappy, video game
chars are spost to be imortal, so do u guys think i shold give it a second
chance? does it get better or was my hope for a good sequal to starocean 2 just
a false hope?

Well this is one of my favorite games of all time. Actually my number 1. I wasnt
disappointed with the game. I found the story quite interesting. I know its a
rip-off of Matrix but who cares. The battle system was way better than Star
Ocean 2. I like their idea of putting MP kills and Fury bars so that the game
would be more challenging. No more button-smashing like in Star Ocean 2. You
need a strategy on how you will beat a difficult enemy on this one. I kinda like
the characters in this game than in the second game. Well that's my
opinion.
Well you havent played the whole game yet?? Why not try finishing the game. I
know it starts out slow but once you reach the high levels, you'll have lots of
fun. If you need help with the game, sure Ill help you. Just give me a PM

the thread is diffrent, the other thread is oh my gosh its so cool, where as im
disapointed and want to know if anyone else thinks so to. ill even change the
thread name to make you happy :P .

I'm a fan of the SO series but SO3 just didn't have the same magic SO2 had. I
played it a little bit and didn't like it much. I'd say move on and go to
Kingdom Hearts. =) It may seem childish and weird with all the Disney characters
but hey it fits the story and its situable for everyone.
The main gripe I had with SO3 when comparing to SO2 was the really bad
transitions. Mainly,
SO2's sudden twist of story was a little poor, but it moved smoothly. The game's
main plot felt somewhat complete. On the other hand, SO3's plot twist was
utterly terrible. It wasn't the concept that was bad, just that the entire
"new world" was only just 2 cities. Nede was a completely new world,
every bit as complete as the first. While, in SO3, it was just backtracking over
and over again to that planet (I don't remember the name). That, and I was
expecting more time in space, not some little adventure in Middle Earth.

ya im not sure what it is that so2 had, i played threw that game twice with over 100hr on each save. i dunno maybe i just miss ashton

Well, I never played it. I heard it was the best of them though... Did a group ever get around to translating the game?
