Anyone play this game? I mean from the original GGX to GGXX. This game is
kickass. It would've been nice if there was an anime on this game like
gungrave. Anyways, xbox is getting a xx reloaded but ps2 owners will get an
online version in the future so you don't have to go to the arcade anymore just
for some competition.
I own GGXX, but only played it for about a week (spring break :p). The main
issue I had with it was sort of a non-issue, in the sense that I'm a bit too
used to 3-D fighting games listing any sort of button sequence as a
"special" move, and so it seemed at first like they all very few
special moves. In terms of the actual game, I never quite got the hang of all
the extra stuff like the Roman cancel, dust, and Ino would beat the living
daylights out of me.
I've played GGX -> GGXX(reload is still eluding me though ; ; ).. And I like
everyone else in this thread agrees, they're great games. What keeps me from
playing them anymore though is the lack of competition :/
GGXX so far is hands down the best 2d fighter (and in my view best fighter, I am
not a fan of 3d fighter at all). It has godo moves great characters and a nice
story mode which more fighters these days should really have to be honest
I've played the first three GG games (Guilty Gear, Guilty Gear X and XX) and is
rather fond of the series. Probably my favourite 2d-fighters, the best of them
is the first GG anf XX imo. The first was definitely the hardest 2d-figter I've
ever tried, the computer using instant death combos (that are hard to counter)
all the time in the later fights. Gamplaywise it felt better than GGX to me,
although X and on lost the instant death (a good thing) but XX is a bit more
refined I'd say.
I agree on the characterdesigns being top-notch and the setting is different
enough from the "norm" to be interesting, although they could use it
better.
I generally hate fighting games, but there are a few exceptions, and the Guilty
Gear series is among them.
I didn't start playing until GGXX came out, but after that I was pretty much
hooked. Now I own all of them except the first one (which has been very hard to
find) and I plan on getting Isuka when it comes out.
GGX is a really good game. It's more fast paced than most fighting games and the
graphics are very nice. Only 15 chars or somethign in GGX though, but still a
good game for fighting game fans.
Isuka (thats what its called right?) looks realy interesting with being able to
switch from forground to back, but kinda seems odd at the same time. I guess we
wont know what its like until the game comes out =P oh well
Yeah this game rules, my favorite character by far is baiken. She sure can screw
things over with that dust loop she's got the one
thing i really love about the guilty gear series though is that despite the fact
that every game has its god tier/top tier/mid tier...etc everyone has a really
good chance of winning in this game. GG is like the most balanced fighter I
have ever played/seen and I would recommend this game to people who enjoy
fighting games.
Guilty Gear rocks ASS! Killer fast 2D anime fighting action .. oh yes. Chip is
my favorite character due to his speed and sheer coolness. I have both of the
PS2 games and I'm currently playing XX on maniac level .. most of the time.
i was wondering what other people's highs scores are..?
I really love guilty gear series. Dizzy, Zappa, and Jam are my favorite players.
Although I am learning Eddie at the time being, Eddie is a really good character
with little flaws, on the other hand Jam is very good in ggx and ggxx#reload so
I use her sometimes. Zappa is just plain awesome with his ectoplasmic possesor
S-ko from the movie The Ringu (although I think she has resemblances to the girl
from Audition as well...)
Me and my freind would literally play this game for 30-40 hours at a sitting.
Its a shame he moved because now I only have my little brother to play against
and he uses Slayer. Slayer is VERY good!
I cant wait for the #reload to come out for PC on the 23rd!

Guilty Gear games are great. They are twisted enought to have to be a breath of fresh air among most fighting games.
Guilty Gear X is fun
Hardly
played it though... downloading it right now.

Glad that there's alot of people into this game, although I'm not any good at it.

i love it but that game dont love my finger, ouch...
Hum...so there's no anime based in Guilty Gear?!? Why? Then this image is from the game?

Nope no anime for us 8P That is a screen from the "extra movie" in ggxx, though there is a GG manga...
