borring in my personal opinion both the main characters in both the series suked

heh, RahXephon is my favourite anime so far but I have a question..
Why are these two animes often compared? I find it sad that one must be better
than the other, NGE's a mates fav anime and we've never compared them untill we
stumbled upon one of these threads
Oh and RahXephon was Yutaka Izubuchi's first anime as director, has he done
another since??
I think rahxephon is more interesting and i think its much easier to follow,
whereas in evangelion there are so many twists that u sometimes forget whts goin
on, in my opinion ofcourse
i think i like Eva more. i like the dark feel it has. but i love rahxephon alot
as well, while watching rahxephon, all i could think was 'eva remade'(though,
not in a bad way) and, while it brings alot more to the table, then just a
clone, i think it strives off alot of key elements. even the endings were
similar.

'end of the world' senario than EVA did. EVA left you to figure things out on
your own while RahXephon kinda just said 'okay, this is how it went down' and
explained mostly everything, giving everyone a better view of what really
happened.
And I'd prefer Ayato over Shinji any day of the week. ^^ Ayato's just more
likable in my opinion.
Oh, and as a lil side-comment, I think that in terms of the two characters
pulverizing their friends through their mecha, that Asahina's was WAY more
tragic than ... ugh, forgot his name. ^^; I mean, I got pissed when that stuff
happened to Asahina.
Yes and unlike Shinji, Ayato GETS the cooler, older woman Haruka, although it
was very interesting how the time difference played on their relationship for
the entire thing.
and another thing that Rah was better at - Reika Mishmia is a MUCH better ally
than the possessed EVA 01 unit. I mean, she really helps Ayato out in tough
situations without the entire ''going berzerk" thing going on. Besides,
she's waaaay cute too.
Graphic & character wise, I'd much prefer Rah. Shinji can be a little too
annoying @ times and Ayato is a much better hero than he was. Storyline? Rah
too. Coz I couldn't really grasp eva's ending really well. Well, it could be
that I'm too slow to understand it.
I'd have to say Evangelion . . . because the series blows my mind. I love to
think things out, I'm just that kinda person, and I completely understand how
many people thought the ending was crap . . . myself? I thought it was
brilliant, a tribute to both the psychological quality of the show as well as a
reflection of the survial and genius of Hideaki Anno personal struggles, and its
creators.
I don't think ppl should compare these two masterpieces. Both seem to have some
common points on the surface, but the storyline and the themes aborded are
completely different. I agree with keiyosu about the brilliant ending of Eva.
Though I can understand ppl don't like it, since like it was said in an Eva
review here on MT, it sacrifices the entairtaining value. To me, Rahxephon is my
fav anime ever, mostly because of the consitent quality and the themes of art
and love. Eva is something apart, like a philosophic essai of a genius which was
greatly misunderstood, the show isn't overrated, it's just that a lot of ppl
like it for what it isn't supposed to be .

I liked the movie, Series ending was crap. Movie actually had some depth and was
pretty twisted. I loved it.
I love them both, but I think that Evangelion is definitely better. It's on a

one, and so that was made (aand i'm saying there's anything wrong with EoE, i
justthink people should impose their thoughts on everyone else, and it was

ayato is definatly better then shinji, in EVA i think i liked all the characters except shinji lol

I would say RahXephon, because it's one of my favourite animes. However, EVA is one of the great classics and should not be ignored ^^
