This is for the group Japaneselover, if you're not a member then by all means stop by and join. This idea comes from kuchukuTulip, since I don't take glory for people's ideas I thought I would make a mild twist to this one. A festival is a celebration for a certain season and this case it's spring in Japan. the idea is to share photos, videos and the likes dedicated to spring in Japan. you must keep it all age related, please no ecchi content and mature content period (that is against the rules of the site right there, but ecchi isn't but this is an all age group, group sort of thing). share anything you so desire. this is possibly a more of a fluff side of the group, hopefully more people will join or people might sneak into the group for some posting fun. Still waiting for a layout for spring for the group, might have to do it myself, not certain just yet, going to give it a few more days, by monday there will be a new layout for the group one way or another. well at least new colors and pictures and video.

but for this festival it's a celebration of spring, so get those cherry blossom pictures ready or whatever else can be spring related in japan. anything goes, well moderation of the site rules and clean sharing and discussions and the likes is welcomed. no hate speech or bashing allowed. none of that will be tolerated, after all this too is against the rules of the site, if you're against Japan then why on Earth are you even on this site ! but anyways have fun and hope to see some members of the group posting in here. if you have any questions or just want to start talking about anything then go for it. I'll be keeping this post going for the entire spring season and then when another season comes about thus another seasonal post will surface, but remember it must be spring, summer comes later as does fall and winter. Currently it's Spring in Japan, of course the weather isn't really reflecting that for some parts of Japan but it is spring all the same. it's slowly warming up whereas for other parts of the world it's feeling like an early summer :O

but show some Japan love with some Spring love. Enjoy :)

The comeback (?)

This video is the recording of a traditional song called "Sakura", thought it would fit here. I chose this video because I sang this song once myself during a festival in school (the video has no singing, though). As far as I can remember the lyrics go this way
Not sure if the words are separated correctly... rather, I THINK that's how the lyrics go. :P

I really like the first and third one, there's just something soothing about the third one I really like a lot. thanks for stopping by and dropping them off, nothing wrong with showing some spring love to Japan. I hope she can look as beautiful as she does in these pictures now

I hope so too! I also love the first and third one! I love the detail of the tower in the first and I would love to be in the third with a good book or even a manga and simply enjoy the peace!
A while ago I read that the climatic changes that are happening all over the world are also affecting Japan's seasons...specially Spring and Autumn...it isn't too serious yet but in a few years it might cause dramatic changes...it's very sad...

in the usa they are facing climate changes to the tenth degree, facing with the earliest spring yet ! spring hit in the first of February ! my dogwood, redbud and cherry blossoms all bloomed at the same time. they looked sort of sickly because the leaves and blooms were going at the same time. I hope Japan has better luck with their cherry blossoms, they looked so sad here this year. tulips are right on time, but my supposedly easter flowers are long gone :( I wonder how Japan's flowers are doing? I know their climate change isn't that radical, as of yet, they are still focused on a good and decent and NORMAL weather and temperature changes. they are going to try to blame it on global warming or some other lame excuse, but they only use these things because they don't know the exact reason. science will teach us this is NORMAL, happens every few thousands of years, earthquakes, tsunami, floods, etc. it's just mother nature readjusting herself, clearing her throat so to speak. as long as she doesn't start singing we're in the clear. if she does, expect more dangers to loom

Yeah...you're right! I do think global warming has a part in all of this...but it isn't all...here in my country we are having tornados in a certain part of the country...I was in shock the first time it happened since I knew they only happened in the US in the Texas zone...

I have gotten wild with the tornadoes and hail, it seems it can't rain now without spouting some sort of hail, rather bizarre weather we're having these days

tulip, I can remember that picture being passed around in an anime group on fb I was/am in (can't remember) and I believe it was mentioned it was from sakura, I believe it was a manga/artwork, if not even a manga but a collection of pictures. wish I could help you further, however you could use her to stump the game thread section, in general anime, at guessing the anime person.

I suppose some day I might, but I don't see myself rushing any time soon, it's just I haven't ever flown and it's not a fear of flying, it's more along the lines of fear of getting checked out before I get on the plane >.<
