Alright, so, I had recently taken over a group called Anti Ecchi Club, but instead I typed in anti-ecchi and didn't switch down to the groups but clicked search when on the tag section. I wasn't logged in and it resulted me in seeing plenty of ecchi content, when I went to click on the item it told me to join the site, but if the content is being blocked with a tag I thought I might drop this off. it works with other ecchi content, type anti-(ecchi material here) and it'll spark up such material, about 20 pages and they are, for the most part random. this also works for being logged in as well, I can see only a few pages and random content but I can still see it. now, with the hide ecchi content filter is on, it can't be viewed fully, but it can be viewed in thumbnail (smaller version) with the ecchi filter on.

here are some examples further:

like stated, placing anti- before the word brings up 20 pages of random stuff related to the official ecchi tag. not certain if this has been around awhile, or recent, but thought I'd bring it before the masses and see if there are others having issues or if it's just me sort of thing. and since this is the "family friendly" site as it is I also thought I should bring it before the masses. because you can't block seeing the ecchi with the anti- tag.

and further more, when I went to create this post with "anti-ecchi" the tag not found warning came about, so I don't think this is suppose to be present. so, is it me or are others able to see such things logged in/not logged in.

I think the "-" is the culprit here. If you add minus before the tag when searching for images, it shows many results. The good thing is you can't download them anyway.

I've tried with -ecchi, -nipples, etc. while being logged out.

Edit: it works if you add ANY symbol before any tag, i.e. +ecchi, %ecchi, $ecchi.. you name it :P

Thanks for the heads up Bunny. I would hate to think I was trying NOT to see ecchi by typing "Anti" and then seeing Camel Toe the size of the Grand Canyon and Boobies the size of Mount Olympus not to mention all the Nips, Booty and Whip Cream and other miscellaneous substances used as cover over certain anatomy.
Once again thanks for the WARNING.

Someone please call the code monkey and get this fixed.

if that's the culprit then maybe it might be looked into and fixed. since there was that situation of missing people due to certain key symbols in their name, it shouldn't be all that hard to hide that feature as well? especially if they want to keep the whole "family friendly" image going here. and that is sort of defeating the ecchi filter too, in my opinion. and I'm typing -(something) and it's not working for them, so I'm at a loss here :/

and you're welcome pup :)

so, 3 years later and there's the same bug, hopefully the fix will fix this, if not, guess everyone who isn't a member can still have that free porn on you. it works for anything, hard, ecchi, etc. thumbnails sure, but who cares. since it's linked to search engines and sucks in visits, and since anyone can see the forums, and, basically anyone can see the search, would be wise to consider this in the need to fix idea. never going to get a lot of members of they know about this little golden egg, just thought I'd mention that. sure it's a bump, but, it's still not been addressed. it could result in possible site related issues and the whole kid friendly thing...just an idea and opinion.

"Artistic" turns up ecchi images because of the Artistic Nudity tag, btw.

IDK if you can call it a bug, since it happens for other non-ecchi tags too:
search?q=anti-garden
search?q=anti-snow
search?q=anti-christ

Anti is not defined to do anything, so the search pulls up results whose tags feature the other word in some capacity.

I have ecchi filter on, so, yeah it's just an idea to look into the situation all the same. perhaps disable the - and work around it, since anyone can access said material. when I type in -artistic search?q=-artistic I get that. caution on the clicking of course. so, if someone doesn't want to see the trash even in a thumbnail, or for those who want to see more then a tiny miniature opportunity is presented to them for awhile now. after all since the site isn't https protected it results in even the government and beyond to know what you're doing on said site. it blocks the viewing of said trash material with ecchi filter on, but the "damage" is already done. kid friendly and "accidents" don't play well in some cases. just passing along some patches needed, in my opinion.

Problem is that that search implies "everything minus artistic", but since there isn't anything coded for "everything", it just defaults to showing images with "artistic" in the tags. If you search for Females,-Artistic Nudity that won't happen ("Females -Artistic" defaults to having "Artistic" as "Artistic Styles", which is a meta, rendering the search pointless).

I agree it's convenient. Closest that could mitigate this effect would be having a tag blacklist option.

Quote by angelxxuanafter all since the site isn't https protected it results in even the government and beyond to know what you're doing on said site.

Lmao if the government wants to spy on you, HTTPS won't stop them.

however as that is true, http is very insecure and opens up some dangerous situations, at least https blocks some sites from tossing out every single detail about a person. http://www.wisegeek.org/what-is-the-difference-between-http-and-https.htm so, in some areas some things on this site could be questionable material, wouldn't it be wiser to run with your local IP not knowing every single detail. the time you spent looking at trash vs the time looking at cat pictures can make some difference and open up those who are flagged or not when certain situations arise in person's said area. but, with that knowledge aside, it could be a work in process regarding said tag issue for those who aren't interested in said trash and would like to avoid seeing it at all costs.

I'm familiar with HTTPS, most sites use it nowadays.

But if I am trash it's not bad to look at my own kind...

for those who didn't, we got the lurkers out there, and yes, for those who hate looking at smut, trash, porn and anything else related to hentai (perverted things) there should be a more secure blocking feature. defeats the purpose of the tag in the first place if someone can get around it.

3 years, no bug fix, that's the State of the UNIOM I guess... so with or without fix, maybe the site isn't getting a lot of members, or maybe it's getting more of them. Maybe the whole kid friendly thing is too hard to apply. Maybe it's hard to keep every single member of MT happy. Maybe I like to use the word maybe a bit too much.

I wonder what's the point of purposefully searching for NSFW pics with the ecchi filter on. Sounds like searching for "nucular" waste in a garbage dumpster. No kid is safe in a place like that. I would question the sanity of people who tried to protect other people during the Apocalypse anyway ;)

People should know filters aren't perfect. Nothing is perfect, Pobody's Nerfect. Not even https will be able to protect people's little safe spaces. Government will find fishy that you look at waifus and husbandos, doesn't matter if they dress like the most prudish amish dude and dudette. I don't believe in flying spaghetti monsters anyway, so I don't mind the ecchi and the spying eyes. I don't know, maybe all these years of living in a garbage dumpster is slowly turning me into The Hulk.

A bug fix would always be welcome though, I'm still waiting for one. A bug fix would prevent that la crème de la société and the solitary egg masses don't revolt too much. It would be sad to watch them turn into meringue and crème chantilly :(

Tbh I'd worry less about the government (though mine doesn't give a flying turd about what you do online), and more about Facebook, which apparently can monitor your searches and even conversations. Haven't dug into it too deep myself, but have heard accounts of people talking about something, then getting ads specifically in regards to that conversation (e.g. talking about a new telenovela and getting ads for Spanish language classes). There's fuel for legit paranoia, if you really need it ;)

There's also a fact that the gummint probably has more dangerous/interesting people to track, not some lonely neck/legbeard who stares at animu T&A once in awhile.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Sheq for never fixing the Tag Me option; that stuff is more addictive than crack and I needed all that extra time for more useful things, like going on Reddit.
