Faster: Writing or Typing?

I'm easily faster [and neater] at typing :) .

I type faster than I write. Also, I'm more motivated to work on papers or fanfics when it's done on a keyboard, not with pen and paper. I think it's a lot more work with a pen, considering that I'm such a lazy arse and all. XD

it depends... on whether you want to read what i write or not xD
if you do... then i think i would rather type...
and it also i think depends on what i use to write with...
overall i think i type a bit faster than i write (doesnt necessarily mean i type fast xD)
and as you see i put no (nearly) punctuation and capitalisation...
there are bugs everywhere and stuf... :P

lol - at least some people can type faster, no doubt.

Just like typos on a keyboard, we have white-out if we make a typo on our written work.
Too bad it looks really messy when you make a mistake while writing in pen. If you don't use a pencil rather instead to erase your mistakes, it definitely looks bad X_x

So typing is indeed faster for me - because we have a backspace to delete our errors. Haha!

well...depends of me....if i just print its really fast...also real messy...if i write cursive its a lot slower but nicer...n if i type...well i make lots of typos all the time but the backspace n delete keys do make life way lot easier...gah...i dunno

My typing is defintly faster than I write. Besides, even if I write slow there's no way to guarantee you'd be able to read my writing anyway! XD

The pen is mightier than the keyboard! I can type fast using both mediums, but I think I can write faster though. I have a nice handwriting and nice flowing motion with the pen.

I am a fast writer so writing with my hand is faster than typing on the key board.

Very interesting in fact - I find it difficult to write super quick, and normally when I do so, it turns out a little more messy than usual. Still - that's very interesting, no doubt, to have nice handwriting when jotting down notes swiftly. It also depends on those typewriting skills of yours as well - but I'm assuming you know yourself best, no doubt. I believe its quite possible - lol

I played text-based RPGs a huge amount and I blame that for me being able to type fast, I never ever really took any lessons or anything and I can't use those dodgy ergonomic keyboards because I have my own typing style :p

i get very uncomfortable when I write now for a few minutes and besides, my handwriting is applauling unless I really concentrate :p

i make less spelling mistakes when typing, *praises spellcheck* and it looks a lot neater because of that beloved backspace key ^^

I can type up to 25 wpm (words per minute) with a bit more practice I can type faster. On the other hand, I can only write at about 7 to 10 words per minute, plus I'm left-handed, and can only print at that speed ledgibly (faster = less readability), I can't even really remember how to write in cursive, which is even slower, about 1-3 wpm.

Even though I learned how to type faster going into chat rooms early on, I actualy use a typing practice program for help in speed..... or used to at least.

type faster when i don't have to come back to correct mistakes :o

I type pretty fast because I talk to my friends on IMs a lot. XD That's really helped my typing speed. :)

i can write fast too but it's only because we take a lot of notes in biology and geometry. ^_^'

I think I can almost type as fast as I can talk, if not faster sometimes. But it takes just one slip of the hand to make a ton off errors. I haven't done any proper writing for a long time and so I am obviously faster no the keyboard :\ I wish I had neat handwriting.

I type way faster than I write. Reason being that computer class has perfected my typing skills and at the same time I'm such a perfectionist when it comes to writing that it takes me forever.

Typing: about 60 WPM

I type a LOT faster than I write.. but I prefer writing.. part of me is old fashioned.. and the other part of me needs something tangible to work with.. my train of thought just works better when I feel my thoughts being articulated in a significantly physical way.. well.. for me that is.. :pacman:

typing is definiately faster for me ^_^ i write pretty quick too though i dislike writing cause of the mistakes and i write ugly when i write fast.

my hand-writting is...well to put it bluntly, atrocious if I write with any sort of speed at all. typing on the other hand is something I can do well and fast, even without looking at the keyboard

I am much better at typing then at writing, cause i cant even read my owen hand writing and typing doesnt hurt my hands unlike writing plus i can change my mistakes which i make a lot of in both writing and typing, unfortunently I cant type at school so not happy :( and i keep continueing to ramble on for another few lines

typing definitely. All I have to do is slam down my fingers on the keys, superfast and the letters come out perfect every time. I don't have to grip anything or make any loops. I've typed so much that I even rearranged the letters on my keyboard out of boredom, and then when other people try to use my keyboard they're like WTF? how am I supposed to use this!? hehe, I like typing fast, it wastes less time in convos. wpm: about 100

ypeing for sure, because you can type so much than you can writing down.

well, I can write fast, but no one can read it, not even me, and I can type around 70 words a minute

typing is much, but i can write pretty fast too, it's just that i can't guarantee i'll be able to reread myself... but one good point of writing, i make less mistakes and my eyes don't get tired out coz' of the computer screen
