Who is your most favorite anime song vocalist?

This applies only to artists who have for anime, thus we're not talking about J-Pop here (although some anime song artists are J-Pop or general Japanese singers).

Soloists for anime songs is the main question here, although groups are welcome too.
You have to state your MOST FAVORITE first, and then you may list secondary favorites should you wish to.

For me, my most favorite anime song artist is Inoue Kikuko. Her solo voice is superb, and also excellent in the Goddess Family Club, which I'll list in my other favorites.
Other favorites are Goddess Family Club (Ah! My Goddess), Kawasumi Ayako (Ai Yori Aoshi, Mahoromatic), Ishida Yoko (Ai Yori Aoshi, Ah! My Goddess TV), KOTOKO (Onegai Teacher, Kannaduki no Miko), and Shimokawa Mikuni (Full Metal Panic!, Grenadier).

My favourite is probably Maaya Sakamoto. I think she's wonderful on Purachina (CCS 3rd OP), it's one of my favourite openings and she sounds lovely on it. And on Gravity (Wolf's Rain ED), she has a beautiful voice which is perfect for the sad, sad song. It's great how she's perfect in both an extremely happy song and an extremely sad song, like those. Yakusoku wa Iranai (Escaflowne OP) sounds great with her too. Some of her Rahxephon songs aren't quite so good, but still - probably my favourite OP and ED songs ever are both by her, so... :) Her and Yoko Kanno are a great team. ;)

Close runners up are Nami Tamaki and T.M.Revolution - both of them do several Gundam SEED OPs/EDs, and they're all great.

if so then i nominate Legend of Dragoon and if not then the ghost in the shell opening

Hm.. I'd say Bad Luck from Gravitation. XD So that would be Seki Tomokazu, voicing Shuichi Shindo. He also sings Yzak's image song, Shoot. Which has been my favourite anime track for a while now.
I also like Suwabe Junichi-- Atobe Keigo from Prince of Tennis. Especially his Cross With You character song.

Their voices are nice, and both sing very well. :)~<3

Maaya Sakamoto must be the best vocalist... she's on the arjuna ost (done by Yoko Kanno)
she must be my alltime fav :D

Hmm... I liked Kotoko's "Second Flight" in Onegai Twins, but if you were looking for my favorite, then it'd have to be d.a.i. "Beacon of Truth" or a.k.a Shin- somethnig ^_^;; anyways its the fifth ending to inuyasha. But my current favorite is Tatsuya Ishii and his song "River" that was sung as i think the second ending of Gundam Seed ^_^ so sad, guiatrish, and awesome

Gundam Seed Destiny Closing song called Reason.

Tanaka Rie aka. Lacus Clyne in Gundam SEED / SEED Destiny.... she does the best songs and the songs always make me feel wat's happening in the story ^^

hiromi satou - sora no tuzuki .....mizuiro's opening

(*sorry.... i dont speak english XD)

Megumi Hayashibara's my favorite. She's got so many great songs like the SlayersTRY opening "Give A Reason". Right now I'm totally hooked on her version of "Kokoro Yo Genshi Ni Modore" from Evangelion. I think Maaya sakamoto is great too. I just heard "Gravity" and it's awesome :D

Yes, yes, these 2 too. Suwabe Junichi is definitely my favourite seiryuu :) And Gravitation is definitely one of my fav singer-related anime. ^^; Though I like Nittle Grasper more. :)

(starts a chant) ko-to-ko dom dom ko-to-ko dom dom KO- to-ko (you get the point)

L'Arc~en~Ciel, although technically a group, is still my pick for favorite. They do the awesome opening theme for Fullmetal Alchemist :D

I really liked KOTOKO's Re-Sublimity and Agony - the OP and ED to Kannaduki no Miko. Shimokawa Mikuni is another of my favourites. Kohaku (Grenadier OP) is one of the best anime songs I've heard to date.

Hmm, and their other two anime themes (Blurry Eyes and Fourth Avenue Cafe) are very good as well. I guess I just forgot about them, since I know them more as a proper rock band than anime theme people. :)

My most favorite anime song vocalist is Tanaka Rei who made songs for Gundam Seed and the Group TM Revolution who has made songs for Gundam Wing.

Yeah, Tanaka Rie is a great singer. Especially from her songs in Hanaukyo Maid Tai and Chobits.

I would say my most favorite singer would be Hitomi (Satou?) the singer who sang the Closing song for Last Exile -- "Over the Sky". Next favorite would be Kotoko, followed by Tanaka Rie.................. :D

I'm not too sure, but I like Kotoko I guess. I like Orange Range a lot too, though that would fall under "band" instead of singer I guess...

Hironobu Kageyama, the king of Anime ^^

Maya Sakamoto is defenetly at the top of my list. Wolf's Rain OST is probably my favorite OST at the moment - gravity, and tell me what the rain knows are both incredibly good.
I also like Mikuni Shimokawa for the Full Metal Panic songs. Do as infinity (second ending to Inu-Yasha) is pretty good too.
Oh, yes, almost forgot Dir En Grey, they sing the FLCL ending song.

The woman who does Real FOlk Blues for Cowboy Bebop... oh, I forgot her name. Mai something. Her voice just tingles! Running a close second is Steve Conte, his voice also tingles. Or it could be my love of Yoko Kanno showing...

Horie Yui, for Love Hina (and her version of For Fruits Basket) and X Japan, for the theme to X the Movie - Forever Love (acoustic). Also quite like the Pillows, and am fond of the Goddess Family Club. ^_^
