What is it that you do to get yourself to fall asleep at night if you can't?
o.O
I usually listen to the radio or a CD that I really like until I pass out. Other
times I just lay there staring up at the ceiling in the dark and wait to fall
asleep. If all else fails, the codeine has worked many wonders for me. Lol!
I tend to just persevere and try and find the comfy position. Generally it's on
my right side facing my wall. If that doesn't work [like last night], then I get
up, get a drink and then have another go.
I lift weights, I make abdominals and flexions and I go to the park to run
awhile when I got relly tired, I take a bath with hot water and I go direct to
the bed... and sleep like rock.
Quote by poolsharkI sleep in shifts.I
stay awake for 2 days straight, then I have no problem sleeping on the
3rd.
Haha~ I'm the opposite of that.
<-sleeps at least every eight hours. Usually I just lie down (floor, bed,
chair, whatever..) and ko within 60 seconds. I've
been told I sleep too much.
I just try to stop thinking. Clearing my mind is often the best thing. Or just
think about something pleasant, with eyes closed. (I tend to dream about what I
think about when I do think in bed).
I used to have a cd player..and head phones on when I sleep listening to the
sounds..then i fall asleep...but my dad said it might give me brain cancer or
something O_____O
so stopped listening to music....
I just think and then I fall asleep...^^;;;;
like thinking about ideas for my next project...or homework...or what to do
tomorrow...
well okay my comp is pretty close to my bed so then I just put music on....and
then I get really annoyed after a while (from the music) and i go to sleep...
Well when i was little i use to run around the house until i got sleepy, Back
then (2yrs ago) i use to take Nyquil only on days i cant sleep. Now and days i
just tired myself out.
Burn a vanilla (vanilla enduces sleep, apparently) or melon-scented (just
because it smells yummy ) candle
for a few minutes and listen to music....
And when I can't sleep, I just toss and turn until I find a position I can get
at least a half-hour of sleep in
I've an effective to make yourself fall asleep. That is to read a textbook or
something that you need studying. Any book that your school/college recommends.
Read about a page or so depending on how drowsy you currently are.
Reading it makes you more drowsy and things start to feel woozy.
On another side, yes music sometimes does make you fall asleep, but it all
depends on your level of awakeness or activeness.
I count sheep.
nah! just jokes!!
i love sleeping so I wouldn't really need to do anything to get myself to sleep
^_^
but I do listen to some music to quicken the process.
A friend of mine is something like 18 hours on, 18 hours off. It's a little odd.
As for me, I usually just get into bed, close my eyes, and I'm usually asleep
within 20 or 30 minutes.

Usually it is different things. Sometimes I use music. Other times it has to be quiet. I guess it just depends on my mood.
This is something that requires little thought, I just well.....fall asleep....no procedures necessary.
When I was a kid, I used to take a glass of milk every time. Now I take a glass of wine (no beers for me), afterwards, I can doze off easily.
That's exactly what I do too when I can't sleep; although usually by the time I get to bed it's so late that I fall asleep almost instantly.

to get me sleepy I usually play an FPS game such as Halo or Rainbow Six-3. FPS games tire my eyes and make me fall asleep faster.
I only sleep maybe once a week. When I do, it's on the weekend and I sleep for days. I fall asleep because of absolute exhaustion and boredom. Yes yes
I listen to my anime CD. Usually I end up zonked before the CD is done.

It's purely psychological.
