I have Ad-ware but i only use it find the spyware and i fix the problems
manually. Reason being is that on several occasions, Ad-ware has incorrectly
fixed issues; resulting in computer crashes, internet connection problems, etc.
But generally its still good.
Btw, if you attempt to fix issuses yourself back
up your registry, cause if you don't and you mess up....big problems,
trust me, I learned that the hard way
Previously, I use Ad-ware and SpyBot Search & Destroy. But later I've
discovered that PestPatrol scans and disinfects spyware more efficient that the
two programs mentioned earlier.
Ad-aware is good, but no scanner picks 'em all spy/adwares. This is why you
should use at least two good scanners. (Although the most effective way to
eliminate spyware is to stop using Internet Explorer and install some real
browser like Mozilla Firefox or Opera.)
I have three anti spys here in my PC. AD Aware SE, Spy Sweeper, Spybot. ehehe. I
have problems with those stu*id spywares. They make my PC slow down. They
consume a lot of RAM!
Also there: discussion on the various tools and their pros/cons. Also, for
those interested, there's a group for people who hate Spyware and love Firefox:

i use SpyBot S&D

I use Spybot and have never had any problems with it, but it probably isn't the best

Enjoy!
tried the microsoft one?
Microsoft AntiSpyware
I used it and its pretty good, although I haven't really tried any other stuff
I use Spyware Doctor 3.0. I leave the viruses up to the doctor!
Anti-spyware programs don't clean viruses!
You would use an anti-virus program like McAfee to do that.
for anti-spyware I personally recommend ad-aware and spybot search and destroy.
i've heard the MS one is quite good... it catches lots of spyware that ad-aware misses.
in any case, i've used firefox since my last reformat, and i've got nothing.
