I was going to put this in the spam lounge but it is kind of tech related... I
also didn't want to be OSist... but this applies for Win XP and maybe 2000, 2003
only.... but nothing can or will stop other users posting here.
When set to Win XP start menu the most frequently used programs are placed on
the left hand side (just to make it clear what I'm on about, I'm not being
condecending ). Here is my six
6. Outlook Express (due to my e-bay spree)
5. Windows Media P
4. Mirsosoft Word
3. Win Mx
2. Kazaa (havent used in about a month) :p
1. MSN messenger 6.2
Some of my games dont appear? and neither does windows explorer (used about
10< times a day)... so this start option seems to be rather bias
seems like that feature only works with programs that are auto.started when u
d-click on a file or use the start menu to run them. anyway, i have my most
common used programs in the quickstart toolbar:
System folders (my docs, D:, htdocs)
emule
MSN & ICQ
Firefox
Thunderbird
NOTEPAD!!!! :d
psp 8
dw mx
Word
Winamp
Seti@home
Nero
winwall
Adaware
my games (hl2, Diablo2 just those 2 now)
Firefox
Wimamp
MSN Messenger 7
Microsoft Word
PowerToy Calculator (by MS)
Notepad
Adobe Photoshop
that's about it... for most of them I don't use the start menu, that's what
hotkeys and toolbars are for...
