Very simple question: is the Full Metal Alchamist series A: A success that is
worthy of a sequal or B: Just another series copying off a better anime series.
i personally think --from what i've seen (up to episode 14) that it is either
original, or diffrent enough, that it stands apart from other shows. Does it
deserve a sequel? maybe, but sometimes forcing a sequel tarnish's the name. If
they don't have any new ideas, they should let it be. I haven't seen the ending
so i can say more then that.
I've seen FMA to the end and i don't think a sequal would really be possible
unless they were VERY creative. It would be like trying to make a sequal to Eva
or Wolf's Rain - some things have to end. The story of FMA has a definitive
objective and so unlike Ranma or InuYasha (or to some extent, Slayers ) can not
just go on for ever.
It will be interesting to see what the movie version is like.
FMA was awesome the way it was. I believe a sequel would just ruin it. The
orignial is usually always better than the sequel....with the exception of
Gatekeepers lol.
FMA was great but it shouldn't have a sequal.
Mabey a movie to finish everything and get everybody back where they should
be.
But definately not a whole new series.
I can safely say I have not seen any series that FMA could be said to be copying
off.
Okay, first off, since the series isn't even finished yet, it's kind of early to
be rushing a sequel. The movie is supposed to expand upon/wrap the anime series
up. The anime is excellent, the manga even more so. I like them both equally, a
lot of people like to diss the anime because the manga really is that good, but
I saw the anime first and, man. The anime just amuses me to no bloody end.
Plus, I want to dance around and taunt people(read: Ed) with the kenja no ishi,
or at least the instructions to it.
right now there're total 43 eps, right?
I'm wondering there's a lot different between the anime and the manga...
but I couldn't find any English translation of FMA's manga..
