A friend of mine pointed this absurd petition out to me. In it they are trying
to collect signatures to try to get the government to ban anime in America. Its
one of those things that you have to read to believe. I didn't know if anyone
here has already seen/heard about it or not. I thought I would give the link for

Oh my F'ing God! What the hell?! Why would anyone be arrested for enjoying a
cartoon?! "Dark Land of Japan"?! I suggest we start a petition
disallowing racists and dogmatic people from starting petitions! XP No need to

I can't name a time when an online petition has done anything. It's like a real
petition, without the signatures, which is all anyone is really concerned
with...
I think there has already been a post about this. But yeah, I think this has
been floating around for a couple years now. Nothing has happened so far, and
nothing ever will come of it.

publications such as Newtype have already published articles and columns
pointing out that the petition is a fake. Besides, anyone with a modicum of
common sense who takes a moment to step back and objectively consider the
petition upon the backdrop of American law, or even anyone who takes even five
minutes of legwork to do some research, would know that it's fairly ludicrous,
in my opinion.
Of course it's outrageous... I just wonder what class this guy had for making
scams. I mean, look at the creator's e-mail. "neko" something or
other. And I as I was reading the list of problems with Love Hina... it's
pretty clear they are not making any specific scenes. All
"assumptions" probably by church people. Bet he wanted to see what

an online petition! hah!!! That is truly sad. They better ban movies,
commercials, ad campaigns, and other mature cartoons if its such a serious issue
to hid sex from kids. Please I new what doing "it" meant when I was
in elementary school and I didn't find out from anime. Truly sad. But like

you get that say "if you send this to 10 people you'll get a prize in the
