hey everyone I've decided to make this a major issue with Minitoyko because I no
we all hate rippers and I could no longer take seeing it. I have recently joined
a community to fill my time with something I was looking through their gallery
and they have nice pics but then I noticed something very wrong I noticed that
our dearest mods and some members were being ripped! these people have no right
what so ever to do this I knew I had to do something to stop them so please mods
help me get in contact with the administrator of this website and speak up for
your walls several walls that our mods and members put their heart in making
were ripped and thats very worng and I'm very pissed off !!
Here are the following walls that were ripped:
Osiri's:Gifted
KorganoS's:Summoned Beauty and Enchanting Purple
GundamZZ's:CardCaptor Sakura wall
Bamb0o-Stick's:Fairy Light
Karak,Sketcher and P Grech are the members who posted these wall thats were
stolen
I'm not sure exactly how many walls were ripped unfortunatly you have to be a
member in order to see the gallery so I will take it upon myself to make sure
the administrator removes these images at once
Thankfully Tama-Neko,Biri and all the other great wallers were not ripped but I
will check more to see how many walls have been ripped exactly I'll do my best
to save you walls
I just wanted to give you a heads up so you all know whats going on

Just gotta place ALOT of watermarks or something to get some of the wallpapers
protected I guess.

Anyhoo, Kitten should join the CSI: MiniTokyo group me & ded113 made! We
crack down cases on which wallpapers are being ripped by members, and I add it
to the log book!
Sad. Very sad. It's not as if they are even good quility images - (almost?)
all are less than 1000px in each direction and most of the site is flooded with
poor quility screen caps from fansubs! I mean, what is the point? Someone
please put them out of their missery.

I understand how people feel about the need to watermark everything like this,
but it really depresses me haveing to have such on my desktop -
please don't let watermarking get out of hand! (In the past I have had to
air-burshed out masive watermarks before I could use them on my desktop (before
everyone flames at me i will make this clear: i would never pass-on one of these
edited versions and i always keep the origonal)).

I can tell you how many time I hear soemthing about wallpapers getting ripped.
It's down-right unfair to the people who work so hard on some of these walls,
and it pisses me off when I see a wall from Mt on anohter site without
permission. I'd luv to help out when I have more pc capbablities *pulls out
zanmato and masasmune and follows Keough and YugureKaze*

Posting walls on places like 4chan, Wakachan, or other image boards is not
ripping. They're just posting it on a board, and the posts get recycled every
set amount of days depending on activity surrounding the post. Most of the time,
imageboard users do not claim to have made the work, they just post to share
with others. Nor do the sites themselves ever claim to hold anything of the
images posted on their services.
Places like animewallpapers or we-love-anime or downloadanime are different.
There, users tend to post stuff while trying to pass them off as their own.
Additionally, some of these sites (like animewallpapers) do try to pass some
claim on the works gathered on the sites (such as animewallpapers layering their
own watermark over the image.) Typically these places are not well policed or
have so many users and not enough admin that most rips are let slide.
This is why I think MT is a great community. There are lots of users, but also
lots of users who look out for these sorts of things.

Watermarking is not that bad. A lot of Animewallpapers shit is watermarked.
Gamewallpapers are watermarked. At least we can make them, I don't know, small,
or in a such way they appear to be part of the wallpaper.

all, you've used other people's walls as clear bases for your own - like your last wall, compared to
this one - and that

BG is cleary visible.
As you did that, it's... curious... that you care about other people getting
ripped, and talk about saving their walls...
As much as I hate ripping I do have to wonder why you didn't know it would
happen. Please don't flame me to badly for my opinion but if you place it on
the net it will get taken. Especially when you have it on a site free for all
to use. I understand all the hard work that goes into wallpapers as I make them
myself but to yell when someone else takes them is not only useless but
hypocritical. Face it unless you build every last bit of it from scratch then
you yourself are ripping off of someone else's work. The images you use were
created with time and care by someone else, whom you are in turn using to make
your own things look better. And even if you build/draw it all out by yourself
without the use of others images then there is still the little problem of
copyright infringement so long as you are using someone else's characters or
designs. We really are not any better than the rippers when it comes right down
to it.

and think about it for a moment. If the companies and people don't go after all
of us when we use their material then who are we to go after anyone else. Now
if it is all your own original artwork that is based on nothing that has been

well dear knight if you must know I used Batam's wall as a guide line to make my
own I'm not a great wall obviously I know that so used his wall to help me I
didn't rip it I first used yellow and black blanding it obviously it's going to
resemble his wall if I was using it to help me I make it completley from scratch
I did not in anyway rip that wall I'll put my life on that so if I'm lying I'll
die

May sound like a ridiculous question, but would it be possible to incorporate
some sort of unique signature into one's work. Say for example initals and a
time stamp.....nah probably would not work.....oh well.

see your mothers health isn't an issue for you.
I showed Bantam this a few minutes ago and he laughed so hard that someone would
take one of his filler walls and make it look worse than it started out.
Those that rip should immediately be given a restriction, and the same ones who
rip again should be banned. As a member of Chaos Cross, I will now look through
the galleries for ripped wallpapers. If one is found, I will notify the mods as
soon as possible.
Well you can try lie to everyone else but you cant lie to yourself, I just hope
for your sake that next time you rip a wall you cover it up better to save
yourself the embarrassment.
