Just what messenger do you use and why do you use it, also what do you use it for, friends, family, networking, etc?

I use AIM. The Yahoo messanger gave me craptacular experiences so I ditched it.

i use msn mostly, all my friends dont use yahoo and i dont think anyone i know uses aim.

i use trillion so i pretty much use them all, msn, icq, yahoo, aim, mirc :d:x:)

I use MSN because it's what all my friends use ^^ .
Have tried using Trillian, but didn'tlike the interface and ICQ is much the same.

I mainly use ICQ. But I also have AIM because some members of MT don't have icq...

Been using ICQ all the while... fellow users are becoming a rare species....

AIM. used to use icq. Wish you had put IRC on the list there. It can and is still used as a msging/chat system more so than any other type.

AIM here; most of my friends have it, as well as both of my brothers, so I can talk to both family and friends through it.

MSN is the best for me here.

Yeah, its a great program to use here as well.

Mainly I use AIM, because that's been most popular with my friends. But I have people who insist on Yahoo, which I use too, but not quite as much as AIM. I used to use MSN, I didn't like it, so I stopped using it.

Jabber, but that's not mentioned in the list. The client is Gush, like Jabber, it's opensource. I used MSN but I didn't like it.

I use GAIM. Good stuff.

i started using ICQ, but for some reasons everyone i know started to switch to msn..
too much constant spamming on ICQ i guess.

I use and like AIM the most, but I often use MSN as well. Most of my... Uhm... "real" friends (classmates etc.) use MSN and I wanna... stay in touch with them I doubt my "real" friends even know AIM exists

I use Trillian... ... So I can chat with all my friends without having to have a lot of programs open and installed in my computer... ... Besides... I really don't like MSN program... ... I can't stand to use it... nor icq... argh... I hate ads and you can't even send offline messages in msn... :P ...

I use all of them in trillian.

I rarely use MSN Messenger and only use it when friends need something from me or vice versa. Actually, I use Skype now (although it is not on the poll) because compared it has the fastest file transfer speed, perfect voice conversations and other nice features, it also uses very little ram.

I use Skype to talk to my friend who's about almost half way across the world and with some of my school friends.

hahaha. I use AIM for friends, and basically I try to be on MSN Messenger all the time to chat with the Cory. :P :P Hahahaha....

I'm kinda getting sick of AIM, PPL can find your address easily... Its freaky, and freaky people just IM you and play guessing games... On MSN they don't.... Hahaha....

The only messenger I use is AIM. All of my friends use AIM, making it pratical for me to use only AIM.
