Trackball or Optical?

One of my recent threads made me aware that a great deal of people still use ball mice. This horrified me and thus, I wanted to put it in a poll to guage the true horror ^__^ .

[READ]By 'trackball, I mean a ball mouse, not on of those special ones where you use the ball with your fingers. If you use one of these, then just put it under the last one as they aren't proper mice anyway ;) .

<lol> My thumbs/fingers are waaaay too uncoordinated to use a trackball. ^_^' I have optical. With a mousepad. Because the grain of my table is stupid. >_>

*wonders about 'touchpad' and 'tablet' users..* XD
Using a touchpad is the shortcut to hand cramps in five minutes, is all I can say.

I'm still using a ball mouse :( When I'm bothered to go a get a optical mouse I will. Ball mouse are horrific. >_<

I have updated the original post to mention these. Thanks Bucket ;) .

ok i stopped using track ball about 5 years again. Kinda reminds me of the dreaded clean routine. Optical is my choice. I love my "microsoft wheel mouse optical" (that's what its call).
*pads the mouse in horrific obsession*"you will always be my darling " ^_^' ~_~

<lol>!! XD Last one, because they're not proper mice... fufufu~<3 My uncle has one of those.. rollerball ones that I thought you meant. ^_^' I really don't understand how they could be effective at all.

Both, optical wireless :D on desktop or touchpad

Optical... but soon I'll propably buy optical wireless... as my current mouse developed quite annoying habit ~_~... it often clicks twice on links/icons/etc... *sigh* the reason for my double posts ;p...

The button on mine often gets a bit like that and I'm planning and upgrade to the new Logitech mx1000 ^__^ .

Humm... it looks nice~... *haven't decided what she wants yet* I guess I'll also consider it ;)... though it's a bit big O.o...

Yea, it is big, but I have big hands and I love the shape :) .

i've got two mice but i only use the optical one.

I have lots of balls becuase I'm poor. .... I can't believe I just said that. I think I'll leave that in there... (^_^)

i have been replacing my balls with opticals (^_^). They are cooler looking and cleaner too. Balls tend to be sticky more often, you have to clean them too becuase then get hair and grease stuck in the rollers.

:lol Really, what I'm saying is true.

I am using the optical wireless mouse.
It is because the cable doesn't become obstructive. ^_^

I may have to put an age warning on this thread XD .

i have an optical. i tried using a trackball at a friends house once and i wanted to shoot the thing within 3 seconds. trackballz are made of pure evil.

Using Logitech's wireless optical...
mouse kinda big and heavy but got used to it after some time.
now it's nothing but smooooooth ;)

I have an optical, trackballs seems to be such a pain ....
Im happy with my optical

I have a laptop, therefore I don't need a mouse haha. Mine is built into the computer! :)

But laptop mice bits are so pants. Even if I get a laptop, I'm going to have to get a mouse to go with it :D .

HAHAHA
but yeah, trackballs belong in museums.

Hey, I resemble that remark! I love my trackball! Logitech USB, thumb roller, with the really long cord. I did hate it for the first few days I used it, and that seems to be the norm for them. But once I was adjusted to it, I never wanted to go back. I bought my own trackball just to use at work instead of the optical mouse I was given O_o

I have another thread buried here somewhere, I had trouble with the trackball during long gaming sessions where precise aim was necessary. For that I plugged in a wireless optical mouse too, and just use it for those games. USB is great, I don't even have to unplug the trackball :-)

Anyway I guess I belong in a museum along with my trusty (8 years old) trackball...

I have got an optical wireless mouse. Im always switching my songs while Im lying in the bed when I feel tired.

optical all the way
no need to clean the ball and such xD
but if u want hig res optical, it will spend u a lot tho <_<
~
but still optical xD
