I'd say, Yoko Kanno for the diversity of her music, especially for Escaflowne
and Cowboy Bebop, then Yuki Kajiura, I love main themes from Noir, My-Hime and
Gudam Seed Destiny. Songs she composed with See-Saw and Nanri Yuuka are
fabulous.
Yoko Kanno for me. Her work on Bebop and Escaflowne is some of the best I've
ever heard. Uematsu's good, but I mostly like his game work, which isn't anime.
Kanno Yoko is my favorite. I love her work. ^^ Especially from Wolf's Rain and
Escaflowne.
As for favorite game composer, mine is Yasunori Mitsuda. He composed the music
for Xenosaga, Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross. Everything about the music is
excellent in those games. Especially his work in Xenosaga. =3
Yoko Kanno is also my favorite. It seems she can compose a very large variety of
things. From Ghost in the shell, to Cowboy Bebop, to Wolf's Rain. Which have
pretty different styles in their Soundtrack.
