Well, as you can see there are a lot of things that make this game a very good
game:
1 The engine of the game is very flexible and you can play it with a descent
computer, and ti doesn't lose a lot of quality in the Frames per Second, or the
graphics don't look bad. Not like Doom 3, that the engine require a monster PC
to play it , and with medium details or something like that.
2 The AI is pretty good and is well adapted to everyone, including allies and
enemies. Because they react like a normal player would do in the game. For
example they run when they see a grenade.
3 The physic of the game is awesome because when you throw something, it bounces
with the apropiate direction (for example you throw a glass bottle to a corner,
and the bottle brokes and the pieces bounce with some direction and ever they
can hit another part of the wall), or that you can pick up something as a
shield, etc.
4 The Gravity Gun is the funniest toy in the game, because you can do a lot of
things to enjoy yourself, throw something far, very far away, pick up men hacks,
throw boxes to the enemies or paint buckets, anyway, is always fun.
5 The facial expresions are something very good, because ist's almos real those
expresions of the characters. You can see in their faces joy, sadness, anger,
fear, etc., and that is something that I like it a lot.
Hmm, that's quite a description. I guess it's a pretty realistic game. Well
about the physics part anyways. I had an opportunity to play this game but I
passed it up. I don't remember why. Ah well, it's too late now.

may happen next (Since now it is much more realistic)... Also it can be funny
since something weird might suddenly happen...
I liked the end with the souped up gravity gun, I tossed guys around in the air
like bean bags, I think I even used two of them to juggle. Awesome gun!

I agree with you man. Just got the game about a
week or so and loving it. Though I thought the graphic was or even better then
Doom 3 which I also have the week before that ( don't even play it now since I
got HalfLife 2 ). Just upgraded my computer and been trying to get updated with
the PC side of the games
Most of your statements are graphics concerend. I've played Half-Life 2, I got
the Collectors Edition here on my desk, and it's pretty obvious that the
graphics are excellent. I expect, however, some more innovation in gameplay (I'm
not merely talking about HL alone). The PC has good graphics, plenty of games to
prove this, now for the real innovation on gameplay.
I played the demo(n) of Doom 3, well, more or less actually. It run like s**t.
Its going a little bit to fast with computergraphics with less improvements on
gameplay.
One funny sidenote, the new expansion of Doom 3, Resurrection, has a lovely copy
of the Gravity Gun and BulletTime from Max Payne. Nerve Software made it, btw.
I'd have to agree, HL2 is one of the best games out. I like
the great improvement of the graphics over the first HL. Lots and lots of pretty
eye candy.

unlike doom3, its more balanced
i mean, doom3 is about constant fear, and i cant just stand that
on the contrary, there's ravenholm and some other creepy spots in hl2, but it
has other, nicely done parts too, like driving stuff
but actually i think doom3 has a more advanced graphical engine, or at least the
lights/shadows are waay more complex than anything i've ever seen
HL1 is 100 times better than HL2
(sp might be as good but mp surely isn't)

Oh and btw the clan I was (am) in for HL1DM plays HL2DM too now (I don't play
HL2DM competitive tho). And they're unbeaten, haven't lost 1 official match
yet, leading in clanbase and won a few cups 8P.

and in terms of graphics its pretty mediocre compared to doom3 and splinter cell

I agree with you man. Just got the game about a week or so and loving it.
