The problem with using the color codes is that they'll look different depending
on what MT skin you're using. If you use a light color (ie pink) it will be
difficult to read on the white skin; yet if you use a dark color (ie maroon) it
will be difficult to read on the blue skin. Colors are really only useful on
userpages, where you can customize the background color as well to prevent these
conflicts.
Since Minitokyo only provides 2 browsing skins, it's difficult to decide which
colors you want to use, as Tama said. However, if you only stick to using one
skin (if you're at level 35 or higher, level 40 or higher to use the colors in
the posts), then you have a choice of the colors you want to use. But then
again, other members who use the other skin than the one you're using have to be
able to read the posts as well with the different colors, so I also wouldn't
recommend it.
