Since I live on a desolate campus, I use dial-up. The dial-up is potentially slow and can use quite an improvement.

If I recommend a connection, I would recommend DSL. Near my hometown, Verizon DSL is twice the speed as it was before for the same price of $30 a month.

I use cable. I know what you saying "lucky..." And I always had cable so I never have slow connection.

I had dial-up for three or four years before switching to cable. I know how you feel, mel. ^_^'
The funniest thing was when I'd try to use bittorrent, it would take like 4 hours to connect. XD

I currently have cable high-speed internet. I've also heard that DSL is good but my favourite would have to be T1 internet connection ^^

I have cable at home, and then at school whatever fast connection they have...not sure what tho ^_^'

oh yeah, i know how you feel too, i have dial-up... i've been on dial-up for years now, except for a brief 2 months when i had DSL (but the company was really bad, they even lost the modem when i sent it back to them ~_~ ) anyways.. i'm hoping that next year, after moving to our new appartment, we'll be able to get either DSL or cable ^^ that will really be paradise :)

I use DSL, pretty good price 26.95 a month, it is a major improvement compare to the dial up I believed. I feel your pain mel, hope good things will happen to you soon on your internet connection.

I use dial too u.u,but when i m on school i have cable *-*,anyway xD,is pretty funny cause sometimes MT is much fast here that in my school

yeah i used to have dial but now i have dsl so i feel your pain. and i guess since your on a campus you can't switch can you

Cable here. The school has DSL, but it can be so slow at times. That's why I like to take out my laptop. The wireless router and its connections can better my cable here at times.

i have dial conection :o :o

well i use that dsl verizon and its ok..
though it doesnt always give a stable connection...

i've only got a lowly 56k dial-up connection... dsl hasn't been offered in my area FOR THE longest TIME!!! (it really annoys me, can you tell? lol)

I used to have dial-up 56k for the longest time, then i finally got DSL. and with that comes friends that wanna mooch my connection for downloading game patches and other crap, and the bad thing is i've had one come right out and say it...."hey, can i come over so i can play WoW on a good connection for a while" my response: "$%&@ NO, damn moocher..." yea, dont let your friends mooch....damn $^%@^$@%....>.<

dsl

i used to have dial-up but i now i have dsl :)
> feels bad for the people who use dial-up sry guys
='_'=

I use DSL, my friend told me that if you just pay each month, you should use the internet more, and I do!

me too i have in new york the dial up conection aol ,(57,6kps)here in mexico the popular conection is prodigy (57,6kps) but you can have prodigy infinitum is the same what dsl ,you are right is expensive but is fast ,i had before dsl with verizon but i had problems so i returned the modem ,

yes i have dial up... blech...wish i had DSL tho...

I live on campus and thus have access to the 5Mbps connection. Obviously that sort of speed isn't reached during the day and it's also a monitored connection, so can't use it for much of what I would like to.

DSL, 1.5Mbit down 348 kbit up ^^ but ill be moving out to uni soon

I have an ADSL connection and it's speed was recently upped to 1Mb/s, which makes me smile =)
