Well it's hard to believe but I'm actually a dad. Davis Dean Jensen was born
Friday July 9....he was 7lb. 1oz.
He came a little faster than expected. Kirsten's water broke at 5:45 am and we
calmly packed the rest of the baby bag and headed to the hospital. Everything
was going along nice and slow.....no real contractions yet and everything was
fine.
The doctor came in about 8:10 just to do her first check of how things were
going.....very good timing. As soon as she sat on the bed the baby's heart rate
dropped. They had Kirsten turn on her side to see if that would help and it
didn't. Apparently the cord was coming out first so they rushed her into the
O.R. and did an emergency c-cection.
When they wheeled Kirsten out of the room they told me to wait in the waiting
room....by the time they got me Davis was out and cleaned up. Although that was
a nervous couple of minutes for me. ^_^ The whole process from when the doc
came in to the time I got into the OR took less than 10 minutes.
Not quite what we were expecting from the whole experience.....but as long as
everything is fine I'll take it.

adorable ^o^ I'm glad you gave him a normal name and didn't name him after your
favorite anime character... I wanted to do that to my brother but thankfully my
parents refused ^^;; Poor kid should've have a heck of a time being called
Syaoran o.O And then I' would've made him take on my mom's last name to make it

I was a bit obsessed back then ^^;;; But he has a normal name which is a good
thing now I think about it
Ne ne, good luck with raising him. And don't start him on anime too early ^.~
Else he'll spend most of his life broke T.T
Hey, congratulation, now comes the part that parents hate and love at the
same time. Teaching them not to be completely like their parents and how to be
a GOOD person. But in the end the love you get back makes everything worth it.
Enjoy him as a child, because they grow up faster than we think they
