Personally I hate yaoi/Yuri!!! I really hate the fact that my favorite
characters are being turned gay or lesbian!! I have nothing against the sexual
preference it's just I feel it's not right if they didn't start out gay like in
Gravitation, that's where I think it's cute

I love yaoi...yuri's okay...but when I read fanfiction I only read
yaoi/shonen-ai stories...so I most definately approve. I don't care if there's
'evidence' to back it up or whatever because it's just fanfiction...so it
doesn't really matter if the characters would ever really get together...because
it's just fanfiction...it's just people writing fictional stories about
fictional characters...and I'm gonna get a little off topic here and this is not
directed at anyone who has posted or will post on this thread...I hate it when
people flame yaoi/yuri/shonen-ai/shojo-ai stories...especially when the author
has marked the story as such...I mean really can't people show some maturity and
not to mention common sense...if you don't like the pairing, don't read
it...it's that simple. I don't go around flaming het stories just because I
don't like het pairings...I just don't read them....grrr...I hate it when people
go OMG! So and so's not gay...how could write something like that? You're
sick!...Who cares if they're not gay in whatever show they're actually in?
They're not real people! And fanfiction authors are just writing fictional
stories...the pairings don't have to make sense in regards to the actual
storyline of the show that they're from!....*deep breath*....okay...I'm
done...sorry about the rant...it's just one of my pet peeves.

They do it in such a way that it's normal for people to talk/see yaoi. And
whenever you say you're against it they say you're not open-minded enough. You
feel left out. I'm incoherant to yaoi, I just can't get into it.
I like yaoi more than yuri. I just got hooked on it one day after watching
gundam wing and read a fic that was yaoi. I guess it's because het stories are
so cliched now. Like the Rx1 pairing. Relena's the princess and Heero's the
white knight? I hate fiction like that. Where the girl has to be saved and what
not.... But I don't mind some het stories or pairings. I love Wufei with Sally
fanfiction. Because she so independent and can take care of herself.

start with a kiss from two guys why not have it cotinued in the story. I mean

That certainly seems a little intolerant, to say the least. If you don't like
yaoi then nobody's going to force you to watch it, but that doesn't mean that it
shouldn't be available to those who enjoy it.
Besides, in a lot of shows yaoi pairings just seem a lot more workable than
straight ones. It's not always the case, but in a lot of series the lead female
is often a whiny, irritating little girl who can't do anything for herself, and
there's rarely any real reason as to why the lead male would fall for her. Gay
pairings offer what is usually a much more realistic alternative, and many shows
at least hint at these pairings anyway, so it's not like people are matching
them up together based on nothing more than looks. So long as they're done well,
I don't really see how people can object. It's different when it's done with
real people like celebrities, but with anime it doesn't hurt anyone so there
shouldn't be a problem.
If you hate yaoi that much then dont read it, it's easy to avoid.

I approve as long as there's evidence to back it up. Putting characters together just cuz they're "cute" together doesn't always work.
